Yeah, I know, I'm just mad this man is leading a useless protest, Did he protest during the endsars protest? I think him and baba ijesha have something in common
. He is not a stranger to princess, Iyabo and baba Ijesha. He has the privilege to meet baba Ijesha in detention. He surely knows what we don't know..... including the fact that another person in the street that actually raped the girl has BN arrested, etc

Idibambam:
Popular Nollywood Actor Yomi Fabiyi is leading a protest at Panti, against the detention of his colleague, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly called Baba Ijesha, who was accused of molesting a minor

During the protest, Fabiyi, accompanied by other protesters marched from Casino bus stop to Panti Police Station on Wednesday
They demanded Baba Ijesha should be released from detention pending when a court would hear his case.

The protesters were seen carrying placards and banners with different inscriptions such as ‘denial of bail of bail of bailable offence is human rights violation’, ‘Nigeria police, please allow the law to dictate to you, not Iyabo Ojo, Princess and co’, ‘release Baba Ijesha’, and ‘Nigeria police must respect human rights and honour bail for bailable offence’.

Fabiyi, who has been supportive of Baba Ijesha, described the continuous detention of Baba Ijesha as “illegal”.

He took to his Instagram page to share a video

Where are the protesters?

No, he wants to use this opportunity to convert B Ijesha to gay. When he comes out, he would reinforce why females are worst than Satan into his mind. That is always their preaching strategy and souls-capturing method.

Lol

He's just protecting partner in crime.

Relax, let the law do the needful. Besides, you don't know baba Ijesha or princess talkless of the girl involved. This yomi has first hand info.....
He has first hand info which will undo the video of him getting ready to rape the girl? Some of you talk like there's no evidence, and the fabiyi is a role model for supporting a friend who shows no restraint in raping a child.

What if Ijesha was not interrupted in the video? What do you think Ijesha would've done? First hand info indeed.

Men only need the law when they are caught in videos ready to rape, but when they want to steal and do other evil, it doesn't seem they need the law or want it to take its course.

The Law is never Anticipatory!
Have you ever seen a Person convicted of Murder, because they THINK/ANTICIPATED he WOULD HAVE committed Murder? shocked
What he would do or not do if left uninterrupted, is a matter of CONJECTURE and the Court does not decide based on conjectures.

Everyone needs the law, all the time, it is what differentiates brutes savages from normal humanbeings in a sane society, though l cant say the same thing from most of you Nigerians just puffing on this thread

Poverty and poor, substandard education has really destroyed the mind and senses of most Nigerians.

You haven't cried for the law in other cases, only when it concerns a potential rapist caught on camera. All the other innocent young men in Nigeria don't deserve this bail attention? Oh, they aren't involved in rape scandals in which they were caught on tape but are somehow innocent by assumption.

Gender sentiment is all that is pushing support for his bail, rather than condemning Ijesha it is now a matter of commending friend yomi fabiyi. Anything to deflect. The wisdom of men at work.

Gender bias and general idiocy has made majority of Nigerians to stand up stupidly for crime. What a shame.

Even if it's one man.

Always stand for the right, even if you are standing alone.

Nobody is saying he should not be tried.
But he should also not be denied bail as well.

This case requires critical thinking/handling.

If truly his acts is bailable, he should be granted bail while he can still be charged to court. Or must the person be in police custody before he can be charged to court ?

This is unlawful detention Mr CP

I understand you quite well, I doubt that case is a bailable offence. if the police can give us (quote) the section of our laws that leverage child molestation no problem.
we all are in this country now, readily the police that was willing to grant him bail has made a u-turn. recently Lagos has enacted laws against molestation (rape, child abuse, etc.) who knows what those laws says!?
since Lagos remains the jurisdiction where the crime was committed the Lagos state laws might be working against the man, we can't tell, we shouldn't be fighting ourself.
it may be anyone (either the culprit or the victim) tomorrow, no one should suffer injustice. still every offender must bear the punishment for crime.

Even the police themselves came out in the media to say it until they were bullied to make 180 degree turn. And again Lagos state laws can never supercede Nigeria constitution, you should know that.

“When we concluded our investigation, we forwarded our report to the ministry for legal advice. The ministry advised us through the Office of the Public Defender. The legal advice was that there was a prima facie case established against him and some sections of the law were quoted in the advice.

But if the courts continue to remain shut, the Ministry of Justice may further review the report. But right now, we are relying on the advice of the ministry.”

Why further review if they are sure that they did the right thing by keeping him indefinitely? That tells us something is wrong with the advice

do you think an individual can bully the police in if not connected. the police goofed the moment they made a wrong declaration. if truly it was a bailable offence they would have pull through with it.
I ain't a lawyer but there NGOs working on this that know laws that can work against the man, even when it is bailable we section that might still counter the move.

You are now quoting and referring to rule of law. But he knows that rule of law is against what did, yet he ignored it and committed the crime.

Do you know that sex with minor is not a crime if it's not in Lagos?
