I'm very shocked a lot of people here do not know when history was scrapped from the curriculum. To me it really made no sense then. We were taught history in our time. Now the only thing most people know online is displaying unnecessary hatred without any facts to back up their claims. It's always either PDP did this or APC did that- the same shitty people playing with their intelligence in the name of party. Abegi, it was scrapped during the PDP administration. Another person will call me an APC supporter for letting them know about this simple history of yesterday. The other day someone was very sure Abacha was the head of state during the time of Maitatsine. Can you image that? Abacha of yesterday?

You guys want to know the historic failure of buhari..... For me I have known and studied that he was a Confirmed failure and I never voted for him during election of 2015 till today. My brother, if you know how buhari run economy of 1984, you know we made mistake as a nation of electing him

“Even if Nigeria won’t restore the study of history to the school curriculum, we in Benue will initiate a legislation to make history a compulsory subject in schools in the state

The FULANI TERRORIST ZOOGERIA government knows that if it removes History from its school curriculum, a large population of the ZOO would not know what happened. And like they say, "If you don't know your history, you won't know your future."

Prior to the 2009/2010 academic session when History ceased to be taught in schools, the first schools founded in Nigeria by missionaries, the traditional status of history as an important subject flourished and the teaching of history continued to be given adequate space in learning and teaching.

The governor just displayed his ignorance of the National curriculum. History as a subject was made a core subject for every Nigerian student in Secondary from JSS1-SS3 since two years ago and this being implemented at least in the north where I live.

"Our children need to know how their forefathers lived on this land hundreds of years ago. Our children need to know what took place at Ushongo Hills in 1804 and why this land and our people were not conquered till this day.”

First time I am seeing such a name and upon a Google search, that was where Uthman Dan Fodio was defeated thereby scuttling his Fulani-Islamic inspired move to East. If not, by now, Igbos, Ijaws and Ibibios would have being Muslims. Unfortunately, the elites in Benue are against him by being silent. David Mark, Gabriel Suswam, George Akume etc., worthless elites who would rather suck the d!ck of their Fulani masters than save their lands and people.

They don't want the kids to know we have been trapped in a vicious cycle of making the same errors and expecting a different result. They don't want people to know that its the same people that ruined Nigeria that are still recycling themselves into power if not how can someone like Buhari that is 30Yrs past his sell by date still be president in this technologically advanced age we are living in and that he has succeeded in winding back the clock of the nation for at least another 40yrs. All these they believe they can hide if they stop the subject. A people who do not know where they are coming from cannot know where they are going that is the issue with Nigeria at the moment. No one is sure if this nation will still be existing in 10yrs time. That's how bad things are all caused by a visionless and aimless government bent on promoting Nepotism and religious jingoism as a state policy.

Removal of History from our school curriculum was initiated by United kingdom in order to erase stories of slavery, torture and evils unleashed on our land. And at the same time to forget the vibrant struggles of our past Leaders. Since they realized the effectiveness of Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, etc they feel remorse. We all can see that most of us can't speak and write our dialect correctly imagine some parents refused to speak to their children with their dialect. Na Church own come worse pass, forgetting that languages are the soles of expressing good communication.

Everything is fulani to you. Even Jonathan who removed it is fulani in your eyes.

Fasindo:
shocked

That was Fulani first agenda which they achieved.

The one sad thing about our history is that majority of the people we study in our history are the same people ruling us, the likes of Buhari, TY Danjuma, Obasanjo, Atiku, Sule Lamido, Gambari etc that ruled us in the past which made up of our history are the same people ruling us and they are mostly Fulanis.
I now ask what is really our history?

Fulanis don't want us to know that they were originally not Nigerians, but they forget to know that one don't really need to study history in school b4 knowing his or her origin
Re: Ortom: Removing History Subject From Curriculum Is Evil by MoIbrahim: 12:33am On May 14, 2021
You know it is so shameful that many of the imbeciles crying up and down do not even know that it was removed by Obj and sealed by Jonathan.

This country is really losing it, with such a teaming population of ignorant youths. It's worrisome.

Sunday2021:
Ask pdp and obasanjo. Infact Buhari has brought history to primary school now.
Pdp and obasanjo wanted to hide something but thanks to buhari who brought back history not to senior secondary schools only but to primary and junior secondary schools who were formerly excluded.
Thanks to buhari!
God bless buhari!!!

One of the reason buhari came into power was as a result no person, company was in position to tell us how buhari ruled previously. That is vacuum on history. If not Nigerians wouldn't has-been on this mess

That’s why Obasanjo is busy building useless library here and there. They don’t want their generations unborn to suffer for their evil. If you know what you are doing is evil and you are ashamed? Why do it in the first place? His Tory must be put back in place so every villain will be remembered. As much as every good Nigerian and we have many that made their Mark. They must also be recognized and remembered.

You alone have said the truth. It was Obasanjo and PDP that removed history from our curriculum but most commentators here have again chosen to politicize the issue by directly and indirectly accusing APC just for political correctness. This shows that even the history of how history was removed is being distorted hence nothing can't be distorted in Nigeria for political capital.

Whether it is removed or not, we Biafrans know the history of this British business centre and we keep passing the oral history to our children.

The Fulanis think they are wise. Migrants from Futa Jallons usurping power over Indigenous People of Nigeria
Political correctness does no one any good on the long run.
Obasanjo removed history from our curriculum on the excuse that the teaching of it will always refresh old wounds and thereby impede national unity and one-Nigeria. It was however restored recently by Buhari.

My brother up there quoting fulani as people who remove history from our educational curricula, it was OBJ who did it during his reign as president from 1999-2003....he was so engrossed of knowing it all in Nigeria then that he faulted any new ideas n partially seem to please the north thinking he will get a third term....
Till today I still blame OBJ for many of Nigeria's problems yet he is going about acting like a saint...what do you expect from a man who wanted a third term? What do you expect of a man who has rule from the south west for 8 yrs and still want to force Akinwunmi from the same south west as presidential candidates on us come 2023...
I blame other previous administration after him who refuse to rescind his evil decision..when children don't know there history, how will they know there geography and future?
God bless you for saying this truth Obasanjo is one terrible evil capitalizing on the gullibility of Nigerians, especially the crassly ignorant indomie generation, to play saint and it is perfectly working for him. I am always ashamed of the youths of today who are too lazy to search up simple facts from google but will just believe lies being spread by those seeking political correctness. Obasanjo and Jonathan removed history from our curriculum and Orton knows this but failed to include it in his outburst because it will generate questions against his party in rational minds. The same evil Obasanjo was the one who, as military HOS made the decree that transferred missionary schools to the fulani-controlled federal military government but today the shameless hypocrite and crass opportunist is going around shouting fulanization agenda just like Nwabueze is now preaching restructuring after advising Ironsi to dismantle our true federalism and replacing it with this unitary system.
