Nigeria Is Already Divided. See Proofs by TruthinAction: 2:20pm On May 17, 2021 |
Those agitating for the continued unity of Nigeria are grossly insincere. The country has been divided long before now. When we have northern Governors forum and Southern Governors forum, are we not divided? We have Arewa group and many other groups that is either regional or tribal. We are deceiving ourselves to say that we are one. We have never been one and cannot be one because of those who think they own this country more than others. It's either they stop acting that way or we go our separate ways. But I strongly suggest it is divided into Northern and Southern Nigeria. At least, these two regions have something in common. Those in the middle belt will choose where to belong. 14 Likes 6 Shares |

Can those who comment here confirm for us that a Southern Nigeria will have something in common. The way you will insult each other makes me doubt you are not divided, so share the love so I know how wrong I am. |

TruthinAction: Dividing the sh1thole into North and South won't work because yorubas will still be insecure with Igbos. Nigeria is better divided into at least 4 or 5 countries. It will bring about stability, peace and progress. 8 Likes |

TruthinAction: Why should it be north and south? Yoruba have their Afonja Muslims who will still introduce terrorism to the south. Why escape Fulani terrorism only to have Yoruba Muslims import terror into the new country. Can't you see they're not different from the other terrorists and are actively supporting those killing their own people? There should be Oduduwa, Arewa, Biafra, MB and possibly Benin Kingdom. 3 Likes |

The reality on ground is peaceful separation. It's obvious we've become what our colonial masters desired of us, we need to separate and become ourselves. Separation through referendum will allow as many countries as possible, so, no need for the south to be together. The Yoruba on their own, Igbo separate, the Calabars, the ijaws and itshekiri and maybe Benin together, middlebelt will split also and on and on. So let's start moving towards this direction. I rise |

makemoneywbsite: Your point doesn't hold water because even if you still have Oduduwa, there will still be Yoruba Muslims amongst them. Besides, the Muslims in the south are not as fanatical like their northern counterparts. This is why the northern Muslims don't regard the ones in the south as true Muslims. |

FreeIgbos: I don't think so. The two ethnic groups can work together. They should just put the past behind them. If we allow the country to divide into 4 or 5 countries, there will be agitations for more as other ethnic groups will request for their. Tomorrow, the Ijaw community will want to have their own country. Even the Edo people will also clamour for theirs. So, there will be continued agitations. |

TruthinAction: You're not facing reality. I quite agree that dividing Nigeria into just two countries would have been the best preposition. It would make save a lot of stress, help the new nations to pick up faster and also help protect minorities of the Niger Delta from attacking each other. However, it is still a fact that Yorubas feel grossly insecure with Igbos. They fear Igbo liberal spirit and republican nature that tends to make them aggressive in pursuing their goals. This attribute is what others term as domineering. With Nigeria divided into North and South, many Igbos will leave the North and would naturally return to the East as well as Lagos. Already, Yorubas feel threatened in Lagos that Igbos are all over and buying up everywhere. Last time, grown ass men were seen on television, crying like babies that tinubu should come and save them from Igbos. If they can cure themselves of timidity and fear of competition with Igbos, Southern Nigeria would work otherwise there will still be bickering between both ethnic groups. |

FreeIgbos: I understand your point. Whatever we need to do to cut off from this evil Fulani government oppression and killings should be done fast. We must not permit further killings of our people. Enough is enough. |
