The excuse above sounds like what would come out from Malami's and his "Spare parts" mouth.

They even tried to justify this gaffe with Gej not attending Yaradua's burial..so laughable.

Who would forget how Yaradua's death was shielded from everyone and particularly GEJ, just to ensure the cabals of the time continued to sideline GEJ and perpetuate their stranglehold on power and the national coffers?

Aside from all the hide and seek that the cabals used the Late Yaradua's condition and death for, it would have been suicidal for GEJ to even leave himself exposed to his detractors and staunch enemies who were all qeued up around and behind Turai even though he still did well to pay a condolence visit to his late boss' family despite the risk was faced with at the time.
