Since the death of COAS in a plane crash, several conspiracy theories have emerged and still emerging.

Also, meanings are being read to Buhari's absence in the burial of the late COAS.

The question now is; why exactly was GEJ absent from the burial of Yaradua? Was GEJ quarreling with Yaradua or he was simply heartless?

Here is the the reason.

What people don't understand is that for security reasons, the president and the vice president can't be in the same place at the same time.

But one could spot his wife in the first picture. That automatically means Gej attended.

Jonathan was unfairly treated by the northern poltiical circus who, at the time, refused him from seeing his boss because they didn't want him to replace Yar'adua. Jonathan was just scared that he could be a target.

Dora Akunyili of blessed memory even had to speak up against the northern cabal even though she was the information minister of Yar'adua. That woman always stood out wherever she found herself.

PS: If the PDP should return to power again, this country needs the likes of Labaran Maku and Omobola Johnson. The APC has given us a lot of mediocre technocrats that you cannot pick out any highly performing ministers in this administration.

On Mr President's absence yesterday at his COAS's burial?
The most reasonable, and I dare say, most incontrovertible answer is this:

For a President to be at any funeral or event outside the presidential villa, it must have at least 48 hours for intelligence operatives to do surveillance and clearance before the President can go based on the Security report.

In a case where the COAS and his team died yesterday and had to be hurriedly buried today, you don't expect the President to go there where there is no security clearance.

The minimum time of 48 hours wasn't met. In insecurity parlance, funeral ceremonies are where politically exposed persons face more risks.

GEJ could attend Azazi’s burial because it wasn't done within 24 hours.

Security issues and securing the president are not done by emotions or sentiments. There’re laid down procedures that must be followed.

Copied!

ME: Remember that Jonathan didn't also attend Yaaradu's burial which came within 24 hours of his taking oath of office. Jonathan wasn't quarrelling with Yar'Adua; must be because of the same protocols.

The president gives directives to his security team not the other way round. Even the US President with all the advance intelligence and reconnaissance operations of the Secret Service, he gives them directives to make unexpected stops and unexpected visits to various locations. It is up to the security team to buckle up and make arrangements for the president as required. That's what they are paid and TRAINED for.
When will Nigerians stop making excuse for mediocrity and failure?

He was busy with his inauguration , and remember he was not yet the commander in chief.

Dambazau, the then chief of army staff was the then defacto president of Nigeria .

Jonathan would not take his oath of office as president until yaradua was buried

There were rumours of a coup (remember he was yet to be declared president)

Maybe you have forgotten how Gen Dambazau shouted on GeJ and even shoved him off yaradua chair when he first took his seat as acting president following intense constitutional amendment by the then David Mark senate . YARADUA was in a vegetative state at the time
.infact they were waiting for him to attend .

BOKO-HARAM sleeper cells were already activated within the army to have him blasted with a grenade or shot with a machine gun
