Lol it is was me I would prefer to travel now begin work make a little before I begin exams tho.

I am working on a project presently. And I am making more money at the moment.

I can't predict what the situation will be when I travel early.

The project I am building is very important, as it will be a source of huge income for me when I travel.

For a Traveler who don't have a Canadian Phone number (+1) , and wants to book for the Post Arrival Covid19 Test at Switch health, Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) what do you advise ?, cos the Phone number field started with Canadian Dial up number (+1)

Our recent travelers, your based on experience response would be very essential

Hi @spectro,
Congrats!

I was refused on Monday.
Pls, can u give me your whatsapp number.
I want to ask some questions about home tie.
I saw your post, and that's why I chose to message u.
Tnx.
Congratulations!

Spectro:
Guys, I have a question to ask.

If I decide to travel in November, instead of September, will it be a problem? I intend to take classes online before finally moving so as to minimize expenses.

Fall semester this year is online for us... I don't wanna spend on accommodation when I can simply take my classes from here.

Boss!!
Thanks so much for sharing
I wish you the very best

Spectro:

In my previous application, there was no concern raised about proof of funds.

When I read the GCMS notes, I discovered that they had two concerns

1. Purpose of Visit
2. Family ties

I was shocked when I saw that the Senior VO stated that there was no academic/career progression.

That was obviously entered in error because I have a Bachelor's degree IN Economics and was going for Masters degree in Economics with a first class grade.

But I realized that the VO might have gotten confused because I also have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

So I did a lot of explaining sha. I wrote three different LOEs. One was general, the second was for purpose of visit, and the third was for home tie.

I paid full tuition.

I did not create GIC.

LOE on purpose of visit was 4 pages... It was exhaustive. I explained every stage of my academic stages and career.

LOE on family tie was 5 pages, I think. I emphasised on assets, parents and study plan.

I thank God for his mercies.

I am thinking of traveling in November, before the fall semester examination.

Classes are online this semester. I can handle that in Nigeria.

But I won't like to take my exams from Nigeria... If network mess up, that will be too sad.

Omg I’m typing this with tears in my eyes. I applied for study permit since November 16 2020 but after emailing for the past 2 weeks and messaging an MP yesterday, the application is out. I’ve been rejected for personal asset and financial status. The thing is that the account used had millions of naira but rejected still. It’s been years since the last time I shed a tear but today, I shed them like a little baby. I don’t know what to do right now

I know that feeling. Please endure and understand that it's not the end of the road. Process the feeling and refire afterwards.

First thing first, you need to acquire your GCMS notes.

There is more to a statement of account than sitting balance. The VOs evaluate many things such as

1. Sitting balance
2. Unexplained lump sums
3. Sources of income
4. Constant inflow of income
5. Disparity between inflow and outflow of income
6. Other existing assets
7. Number of dependents of Sponsor
8. Relationship to Sponsor.

So, the first thing to do is to acquire your notes for better understanding.

It's a public forum, which means he also has the right to post his views on here. Just as you have the right to do the same.

But if you guys keep dragging this on, this thread will be polluted, and what's the point.

PPR just dropped.

Funny thing is I applied this month, and it's a reapplication.

Previous refusals were purpose of visit and home tie.

So I made some very serious adjustments in my reapplication. I submitted more documents to prove my family tie and explained copiously in my SOP.

The purpose of visit concerns must have been entered in error because I had very good academic/career progression, so I stressed on that, albeit politely.

As for home tie, that's pretty personal and can't share that here with you.

The most important thing is that I did a lot of explaining. I think I wrote like three different LOEs. I also attached a lot of documents as evidence.

But here is the thing, there are many ways of compiling an application. And what works for me may not work for the other person.

I wish you all the best.

Congratulations Spectro, glad you got ppr.
