Spanish Football is top of the trends on social media, and this comes after the roaster released by head coach, Luis Enrique earlier today.

The list comes with one particularly striking absurdity. The captian—Sergio Ramos—has been left out and a player who only just switched his nationality has taken his stead.

The Real Madrid and Spanish captain was left out of the team to take part in the delayed Euro 2020 this summer, and a surprise inclusion in the list to take his place is Manchester City's defender, Aymeric Laporte.

Laporte, who is also native of the Basque county in Spain, was born to French parents, which makes him eligible to play for the La Rojas.

The City player, having been left out by controversial French coach, Didier Deschamps decided to make the switch only a week ago in time to enable him make it to Europe's mundial.

wow...dts a very shocking move...the henrique i know might have called n talk to ramos before such decision bcoz ramos command huge respect in dt Spanish team..
maybe ramos niggling injuries wont make him compete In the kinda rhythm d coach wanted or maybe ramos asked to be dropped so he can rest or move for surgery to end dt injury..
replacing him with laporte isn't bad n Its a nice decision because henrique is in charge, he knows d job better than I do n he would fave d axe when he fails..
