There have been many situations where I feel just mixing different people from different backgrounds, geopolitical zones and ethnicity is not enough to unite them, which the NYSC bill seeks to mandate. With the economic situation of the country, unemployment rate and insecurity fueled by hunger and anger, all what the bill is using as a pointer to scrap NYSC.

I believe it will be more productive to reporpose NYSC rather than scrapping it completely.

Though I don't think there is any easy way in doing so, it might even stretch the already over stretched NYSC body, but I believe it will be worth the pain in a long run.

How many graduate after NYSC are gainfully employed?

Majority are Okada Riders amongst other mini jobs. How about incorporating the Npower or strategy of the Npower to NYSC instead.

It should be scrapped. There's no justification whatsoever for raising a child and after putting him through rigorous education, he dies in Borno in the hands of Shekau and his sympathizers.

Scrap that shit.

Instead government should introduce one year of skill and empowerment programme in every state . Once you graduate, you go for the skill and empowerment programme in your state not other states..

The money they were supposed to be paid as alawee for that 11 months of youth service, should be given in bulk to every graduant after the one year skill programme

But this strategy can't encourage Unity & won't allow citizens to learn the diversity of other fellow citizenry. How about the strategy the opinion mentioned: https://www.streamingnaija.com/2021/05/nysc-should-be-repurposed-instead-of.html?m=1
