If those people are Yoruba as you believe why then do you say there are no Igbos in the South-south even when the people say it themselves? This is Ukwuani, Delta State

Stop using the presence of a few Igbo minorities in the south-south to claim the entire region is Igboland.

Annual GDP is how you measure a nation's economy, not foreign exchange receipts from the sale of oil.

Oil accounts for just 9% of Nigeria's annual GDP of 450 billion USD.

A far bigger contributor to our GDP is Agriculture, and the north is the epicentre of Agriculture in Nigeria.

So the north contributes FAR MORE than the south-east to the Nigerian economy.

I know you are just trolling, but the joke is on you.

Animal husbandry accounts for less than 5% of GDP.

AGRICULTURE, which is a NORTHERN preserve, is where their contribution to GDP is the greatest.

99% of the tomatoes and onions you use in your stew, where do you think they come from?

Mumu. You don't even know that you will starve without food from the north.

Your people are into spare parts dealing, selling imported goods from China, and drug trafficking, not food or much other production.

So the north contributes more than you to the economy.

IPOB say that Biafra includes the Niger Delta South-South states.

On the basis that Igbos and the south-south people are ''brothers''.

But there have been no genetic studies showing that an Efik man or Ogoni man is any more a ''brother'' to an Igbo man than say, a Bini, Hausa, or Yoruba man.

One suspects that this IPOB claim to ''brotherhood'' with the south-south is based more on economic considerations ie oil and gas, than an actual belief by the Igbos of their genetic links to the south-south.

Actually Nigeria runs a service (not agrarian) based economy, with services accounting for close 50% of GDP. Agriculture hovers around 20%. And we all know which ethnic group contributes the most to services in Nigeria.

So if Aworis and Eguns are "sub Yoruba tribes" as you stated, what are Ikwerres, Ekpeyes, Etches?
Are they not obviously sub igbo clans? Why are you Yorubas desperate to solidify divisions between the Igbos and these groups but cuddle your minorities tight!?You guys talk of Igbos swallowing these groups but today the ijaws of Ondo are being forced against their will to sing Yoruba anthems! Has any of these sub igbo groups in the east, somee of them far more ethnically related to the Igbos than say Aworis to yoruba, who have been repeatedly defined as the igboids by the authorities in different occasions in the past, been forced to sing to any sort of "igbo anthem" before?

Every part of lagos belongs to Bini people, every yoruba man in any part of lagos migrated from oyo, oshogbo, ogbomosho, etc

U cant mention a single Yoruba politician that has led any post in lagos politics that does not come from Ogun, Kwara, Osun and the rest.

This is the 1962 Map of the Western Region from the US Library of Congress

Lagos is where the dot is.

The British Colonial Government only leased Apapa from the Oluwa Awori Yoruba Family , Just like the US leased its Military bases in Germany and Japan.

If you examine the map carefully and very truthfully you will agree that more than 95% of today’s Lagos State was in Awolowo’s Western Region

Almost all of what is Metropolitan Lagos today was actually in the Ikeja Administrative department of the Western Region.

Lagos Island was the only exception.

When You hear that Yorubas spent 100 years fighting themselves till the British Negotiated the Kiriji Peace Treaty know that the Egba, Ijebu and Oyos which included Ibadan were fighting for the Military and Political control for the Coast of Lagos

They had all realised that Sea Coasts meant international Trade and big Money

In 1851 when the British First landed in Lagos the Oyos held Badagry area, the Ijebu were in Control of Eastern Lagos from Lekki onwards , the Egbas held Everything between the Oyo and Ijebu Lagos territory’s which included practically all of Mainland Lagos including Ebutte Metta,Iganmu,Ikeja,Agege,Ifo, Ota everything from Lagos Mainland to Abeokuta

The real owners of the Oyo and Egba Military controlled Lagos were the Awori

The Only part of Lagos Oba zkosoko Controled Was on Lagos Island half of Which belonged to the Onikoyi who was another Oyo man

Lagos Island where the Oba of Lagos resided belonged to the Awori Aromire Family

Oba of Lagos was a Merchant Prince who controlled the Lagos Slave Markets and Port of Isale Eko Area

On the day the British Colonial Government first landed in Lagos in 1851 Oyo controlled Badagry Area Which they had taken from the king of Dahomey along with Porto Novo (Ajase) in War . The Oyos had fought Dahomey as Allies of the Eguns
Aare Oona Kakanfo Oyabi had led the Oyo Army

The Abeokuta Egba Army Controlled all of Lagos Mainland Which they had won in the Ota War of 1842 in Which the Oyos of Ibadan fought as Allies of Oba Kosoko and the Awori and received such a heavy defeat at the hands of the Egbas that the Ibadan Army had to be smuggled back home.

The whole Episode almost led to the downfall of Basorun Oluyole back at Ibadan

The Ijebu Controlled Everything East of Lekki

So Ife should claim Benin because it is a Yoruba word ?
