Now that the quest for Biafra is gathering momentum, and series of arguments by pro and anti Biafra forces seems to be at an all time high, I have decided to add my voice. The recalcitrant "one Nigerianists" keeps hammering on how Biafra is going to lead to Igbos economic demise (Lol, like they cared anyway) on the other hand, the pro Biafrans continues to counter them with facts back-to-back.

There has been claims by those adamant on maintaining the status quo we have in Nigeria (not minding the wanton killings, destruction of properties, grinding poverty, corruption, decay and retrogression) that Igbos have their eyes on coveting the oil and gas resources of the Niger Delta to themselves. They go further to claim that Igbos are more or less parasites like Northern Nigeria (Ali Ndume, a senator from Borno state insinuated this a couple of days back) however, facts have proven that such assertion is not just untrue but also a malicious blackmail.

Igboland encompasses SE to areas in SS, particularly Rivers and Delta with outcrops in Edo and Cross River/Akwa Ibom. Now, even if we are to accept their blackmail and unintelligent argument that Igboland ends in SE, still the money realized from sales of oil and gas production from just Imo and Abia States alone supercedes the federal government allocations that accrues the entire SE! What this means in essence, is that SE not only supports itself totally, but also has extra left out that goes to the real parasites of Nigeria (North).....

If just Imo and Abia alone generates more money that covers the entire allocations coming to the SE with "change" left, then what happens when the proven reserves in Anambra others in the SE begins to be exploited? More revenue! Now, this is just one sector, albeit an important one in Nigeria. So, let's go to the next!

It has been proven that after crude oil exports, the next biggest generator of foreign exchange for Nigeria is diaspora remmitances. In fact, diaspora remmitances is said to be worth almost the same as what is gotten from crude oil exports. It gets more interesting to note that unlike crude oil that is gradually becoming worthless, diaspora remmitances is not only sustainable but also keeps growing annually! Again, we all know those that contribute the most to diaspora remmitances, and it's unarguably Igbos! In essence, the two most important sectors that gives Nigeria money, are sectors Igbos play a huge part in!

So, how exactly do we stand to lose, even if our blood brothers in the geographic Niger Delta are brainwashed to remain in Nigeria? Absolutely nothing!

Now, that we have reached a consensus that Igbos or Biafrans have never been parasites in Nigeria, does not need SS minorities to be viable and has since been contributing to support/subsidize the ungrateful parasitic and Islamic North, it is time for us Igbos/Biafrans to face also face reality and not see everything from a rose tinted glass.

Our stay in Nigeria has obviously stagnated our growth and potentials. If we are to have Biafra right now, we will be starting life all afresh with lots of things lacking. If these things are not put in place by us, since we all know the wicked federal government controlled by the Fulanis will never do them, we won't be hitting the ground running. Considering that we would obviously be doing catch up, we really need to start getting ready by creating enablers that will help us to close the gap with other nations and even leapfrog them. These critical enablers are listed below.....

1. Cement production: Once we get Biafra, there is going to be a lot of construction works. Many of our people that would return from other parts of Nigeria would be needing accommodation. More office buildings would be needed in our capital to house embassies and foreign diplomats and so many others. But unfortunately, we do not have any cement company in Igboland today! The Eastern Regional government built the first cement company in Nkalagu (present day Ebonyi State) and it helped to make Eastern region to develop its cities very fast post independence in the 1960's. Without a cement company, we in Biafra would be importing cement from abroad and that will affect our balance of payments negatively and would also frustrate our development efforts and economy. We must do everything possible to make sure that Nkalagu cement comes back to production. If Ibeto is not serious about developing it, then his license should be withdrawn immediately and given to a serious investor! Also, there should be more built in places where we have limestone such as Abia state and Enugu state.

2. Refineries: if you check Nigeria's import demographics, you will see that petroleum products accounts for about the highest volume. In Biafra, we would also need lots of petroleum products and unless we have refineries built now in Igboland, it would mean spending scarce resources to import these items. It will also affect the value of our currency and probably lead to inflation in our local economy. Luckily for us, we already have a modular refinery operating in Imo State and the owners are currently expanding their capacity beyond the current 10,000 bpd. However, we still need more refineries in Abia and Anambra States so we can be self sufficient.

Whenever they add SS know they really aren't serious.

Let me ask some questions, because all i am seeing here is once we get biafra, once we get Biafra.

1) How many IPOB member own innoson cars today? Does Nnamdi kanu or any member of his family own any?

2) why are there more dangote cement distributors in SE than ibeto?

Where did you see SS added to Biafra here? You guys in your desperate attempts to perpetuate a failed country on everyone don't mind lying to yourselves in the process. I stated in the post that even if Igbos should go with just the 5 SE states without our blood brothers in the SS (particularly in Delta and Rivers State among others) that our Biafra would still be far better and more prosperous than the embarrassment, poverty, stagnancy, decay and madness we all are experiencing in Nigeria.
