You're very correct. Usually they attack people with lustful desires although normal individuals are also targeted. It's not a spirit wife but it's something far more insidious. Succubi are notoriously difficult to get rid off just like their male counterpart Incubus, they need to feed off that sexual energy you give off. Kill the energy, they disappear albeit slowly.
