This is purely a political assassination. It has politics written all over it.

Key players in IMO state politics should and must be held to account.

How I wish Nigeria has a good investigative and intelligent unit in our security system... this is pure political assassination! But no way, they will call it unknown gunmen. People are using this window of unknown gunmen to eliminate others. Even the ritual killing forest in port harcourt is still unknown gunmen.... If you are living around the area of this event..you better run away especially young guys. Our security agents are not trained.. anyone they see along that road is the killer of Ahmed gulak
You have summarised it all.

But why?. This man has never said anything bad against the IPOB or ESN, but why?. I'm shedding tears right now. The man was a good man, he loved people of Biafra. Meanwhile, he wasn't a Fulani. IPOB should know who they target. May his soul rest in peace. May Allah Grant hin Ajanu Fiddursi
Guy use your head. Most of the posts on FP are saying it's a political assassination and if you check the circumstances surrounding his death, you'll know this is purely a hit job, it has nothing to do with UGM or IPOB or ESN

This is a clear case of politically motivated assassination.
The ongoin unrest in the Eastern part of the country was used as an opportunity to eliminate him.

You can imagine how insensitive and selfish the political players in the State are. Innocent citizens are already being haunted down and tagged UGM in this region, then a political leader decides to carry out this heinous act, further risking the lives of citizens.

All for selfish interests.

Clear political assassination. I think it was dangerous for Ahmed Gulak to be roaming IMO State for any reason or even return to that State at all for whatever reason because he knew the role he played in the controversial IMO APC governorship primaries that saw the emergence of Hope Uzodinma. Alot of political actors in the state are still very bitter about that abracadabra. He would've stayed totally away from IMO State. My people perish for lack of knowledge. The embittered politicians only just took advantage of the prevailing anarchy in the state to eliminate him and he made himself an easy target for them because of wrong movement. Wisdom is profitable to direct. Rip Ahmed Gulak! Nigeria is in a state of anarchy. May God help us.

Don't mind him

The truth is gradually coming out Northern Youth council has asked Uzodima to figure out the killers they didn't blame ESN/Ugm

Police released a statement below which shows gulak took multiple route to the airport knowing full well their was an attempt on him, the killers were 6 and cooked the plan very well to cover every direction

while the cab driver took irregular route to the airport, six armed bandits who rode in a Toyota Sienna intercepted, identified and shot at Ahmed Gulak

This is classic political assassination! Victim played a major role in installing supreme Court governor and there's a lot of motive within Apc in the state to take him out.

The crime scene suggests he disguised to blend in with just jeans and polo, he even wore face mask on a Toyota camry and still the assailants were able to locate and identify him.

Ps: who else noticed imo state turned upside down the moment a former governor was arrested and disgraced. Connect the dots and you unmask the UGM

He even threatened that the present Governor is starting what he can't finish.

One day na one day...

Shut up. Bello was killed by Nzeogwu from Niger Delta (SOUTHSOUTH), while Fajuyi was killed by Northern soldiers led by T Y Danjuma.
This was how they assassinated Tafawa Balewa, Ahmadu Bello, Fajuyi etc. And when the retaliation started from the other side, they started shouting pogrom here and there looking for sympathy.

Why This Isn't Esn/UGM

He isn't wearing a babariga that would mark him as northernern for ESN

(even then hausas have not been a target of ESN except fulani herdsmen)

He isn't wearing a military police regalia that you would call it UGM

The brief time he came to imo on assignment he got killed by those who supposedly are aware of his arrangement

He holds no position of relevance that can bother ESN/UGM, there have been more important people including the VP and IGP that came to east and left in peace

do you think an average Northerner would understand what you just wrote? Or a brainwashed Yoruba muslims?

You are the only one who has hit the nail on the head. Your brain is intact. If I'm an investigative officer I will beam my searchlight on ROCHAS. Just like you opined, I haven't forgotten the role this Gulak played in installing Supreme Court governor Hopeless Uzodimma in collaboration with Oshiomhole. Rochas was always mentioning Gulak all the time back then and telling the world how Gulak betrayed him so your post is one hundred percent correct. Only if we have an investigative police force in Nigeria

I noticed the same observation but kept quiet for personal reasons.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, at a forum several weeks ago said Vote should determine who rules people in Democracy and not Court. He said it at a time the UGM activities have not gotten to this level. We all know why a former President made such statement. Goodluck Jonathan was a victim, his candidate victory was overturned by Court. Though Bayelsa is peaceful, the fact that Jonathan made that statement shows he has not forgotten the whole episode.

Imo case is very complex. Father Mbaka was a Spiritual adviser and father to APC on the IMO gubernatorial Court Case declaring the victory even before the judgement. Today, he is on the opposite side. He even placed a curse on the governor after the death of Ikonso.

Nobody can tell me Justice Mary Odili an indigene of Imo State did not transfer the anger of Imo state situation to Bayelsa . That is my personal belief and opinion. The difference between man and animals is the Rule of Law. Where people perceived an Injustice under rule of law, then man becomes animals and anything can happen.

In 1967, the same thing happened in the South West which eventually led to Civil War. Now, we have another situation in the South East. Under Ihedioha , the situation at Owerri wouldn't have gone to this level.

You are asking for too much at a good....

Let’s first pray that, Nigeria should get an investigative unit.....then in like another 10 to 20 decade later, we start wishing and praying for an Intelligent Investigative Unit.

Then in about 50 to 100 decades, the prayer point will be a Good Intelligent Investigative Unit.

With the current crop of Nigeria leadership and the antecedent of those lining up to take over from the current leadership...let’s take baby steps first....let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves.

The truth is that what is happening in Owerri is a political battle. Hope Uzodimma has been saying it but no one believed him. These UGM aren't ESN or IPOB. Nnamdi Kalu also said it that UGM aren't under his command. Gulak travelled in a Toyota Camry. Gulak was putting on a polo and jean trousers with no armed escort, he wanted to blend in with other people but he was killed. There's only 1 route to Imo Airport and he was shot at the entrance to the airport. I know this because I live in Owerri and I use the airport. He was killed by someone who knows everything about his movement and only his closest political allies and friends have this knowledge
The people in power are destabilizing the state for their own interests and the masses are at the receiving end. I wish we'll all be wise in this country to know that our problems isn't tribe or religion, it's our leaders who divide us for their own benefit

So you see through his disguise too. That is how they hide their ethnicity and make it seems they are yoruba making anti-igbo comments to pitch the two against each other. Their plan is to attack Igboland and ensure yoruba doesn't come to their aid or even support them when they do that.

Werey dey disguise. It is either they face Igbo alone or they face a united south. Nobody will support a fulani army this time.

This IGP shouldn't behave like the previous senseless IGP who concluded that the IPOB carried out an attack without doing a proper investigation. There should be a proper investigation into this senseless murder. RIP to the man.

For those pinning this murder on the IPOB without a proper investigation, just know that the Igbos are not cowards. Every Igbo man who still decides to live in the north despite all pleas to return home, does so at their own risk.

Just hear yourself.
Every death that occur through shooting is Fulani herders but when it happens in the east we shuos not blame Ipob or ESN?
