The only difference is in whose name the baptism is now said. Jesus Christ, after His resurrection, commanded that we baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Spirit of God. Other than that, it is the same baptism spoken of by God in Ezekiel 36 vs 24 - 28.

Baptism by water is part and parcel of the process to gaining access to the Kingdom of God. To be exact, it is part of what Jesus Christ described as being born-again, a step necessary if one is to gain access into the Kingdom of God. What's tricky about that access however is that there are two gates - the broad gate which leads to Hell, and the Narrow gate which only a few will find, that leads to Heaven - and the gate you enter through seems to depend on what you do to gain access.

According to Jesus Christ, in John 3 vs 1-21, to enter into the Kingdom of God, the following are the commands to obey ...

SALVATION
* Believe Jesus Christ is the New Covenant Law of the Kingdom of God - John 3 vs 16
* Eat the body and drink the blood of Jesus Christ in order to gain eternal life, the end result of being saved from the condemnation of Sin(Death) - John 6 vs 47 - 56

BORN-AGAIN
* Change your heart and life to follow God -Matthew 3 vs 7 - 11
* Be baptized in water to show that you have changed your heart and life for God
* Be born of Spirit( spirit here not to be confused with the Holy Spirit) - John 3 vs 6 -8
