President Muhammadu Buhari has broken his silence on the rising insecurity in the Southeast region of the country.

In recent months, there have been a series of attacks on the facilities of the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) in the country, particularly in the southeast region.

Following a briefing, he received from Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of INEC, Buhari said the sponsors and orchestrators of insecurity in the country are doing so because they want his administration to fail.
