How Do I Develop This Business Idea? by Gofwane(m): 10:51am On Jun 03, 2021 |
I work in Company with about 200 staffs and nearly half of them are customers to all these loan apps with ridiculous charges. I am thinking of setting up a pay day loan with a flat interest of 20% i.e, if you take #5,000, you pay back #6,000 ANY DAY salary is paid instead of the ridiculous #8,000 they pay to Sokoloan for a 14 days loan of the same amount. We just need to set up an App or a website where payments and repayments could be authorize. I don't know much about how Fintechs operate but I have willing customers. Can any one please put me through the basic requirements of setting this up and a rough estimate of what it would cost? |

Gofwane: Welcome to the business! The grass always looks greener in the next compound until you go there then you realise it's not as green as you initially thought. After you run this business for 6 months you will stop criticising Sokoloan and other loan apps for the methods they choose to use to run their business! |

Re: How Do I Develop This Business Idea? by Lucrativress(f): 1:28pm On Jun 03, 2021 |
Gofwane:Since you said they work in the same company with you I feel the best thing for you to do is 2 get to know the person that disburses the salaries because most Nigerians are defaulters and even after they collect their salaries they won't want to pay so what you should do is this if you just want to limit it to the people in the company be sure that they use the same account to collect their salaries so if you decide to use an app you could actually look for how to go through those regulations of the banks that automatically deducts the loan from their next pay or just talk it out with whoever is disbursing the fund in the company and give a very good bookkeeping and have them sign when they loan the money that they give you authorisation to deduct their money before they are paid I think this is much cheaper so hopefully it just goes well 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: How Do I Develop This Business Idea? by Gofwane(m): 2:07pm On Jun 03, 2021 |
Lucrativress:Anyone applying would have to use their salary account. I would love to have an app where payments would be automatically deducted the moment salary is paid. |

InEvitable0000:You can try Fairmoney. Heard their rates are fair. Or if you are a salary earner, you can try Kwikpay Credit. That's what I used. |

If this is true, then they are not informed because Access Bank gives payday loans at a very little rate |

Gofwane:I belive this will have to go through series of Financial and Banking regulations with authorisation You will have to do the digging and if you can't go through the whole stress of digging out the concise procedures to take, well well you can hire someone to do that for you. I'm quite good at getting things done. 1 Like |

Gofwane:There is nothing really fair about these prominent loan companies o,they give outrageous interest rates and I do not blame them though cause the use it in offsetting the loans of their defaulters since they have to pay back their Investors 1 Like |

Lucrativress:I don't know about others but kwikpay credit is fair. 20% with no upfront charges for 30 days is reasonable to me. |
Re: How Do I Develop This Business Idea? by Lucrativress(f): 5:05pm On Jun 03, 2021 |
Gofwane:I find even 20% somewhat outrageous,if not that most Nigerians are serial debtors interest on monthly loans shouldn't exceed 10%. |

Gofwane: I hope you have fully prepared yourself for the stories and excuses and other lies you will be hearing when it's time to pay back the loan. This is a small example of the thieves you will have to do business with so make sure you prepare well if you don't want these wicked souls to bankrupt your business! NaijaBoy213: ekene101: |
