1) Regional government system was totally abolished by Arewa military dictators after Ironsi’s Decree which took some powers from the regions but still kept regional governments.

2) Since Arewa military dictators restructured Nigeria politically from 1967-1996; Arewa has never sought to leave Nigeria for a new Arewa country, instead, Arewa politicians restate that Nigeria is an indivisible country.
