Why not Jamaica? You just donated some money to a country hostile to Nigerians; whether law abiding or not. |

My own view is we better act fast in this regard to reap the health benefits , earn foreign exchange and lastly help our security operative focus on crime fighting than looking for cannabis users that distract them . 1 Like |

More reason Yorubaland need to breakout of Nigeria. The religious zealots who are never do well for their poor masses would not allow development of a booming medical cannabis industry in the south though they will gladly collect any returns from it as part of monthly allocation. Enemies of progress and prosperity. |

Simplythebest: This is a very strong and logical argument for state legalization as opposed to waiting for federal legalization of cannabis. From a legal standpoint, there is nothing that stops Governor Akeredolu SAN, from instructing the Ondo State legislature to go ahead and make Ondo State Nigeria's first enlightened state where medicinal marijuana is freely cultivated to boost the regional economy. |

Simplythebest: There is absolutely no question that once the gigantic profits of cannabis cultivation, taxation, and export start to roll in for Ondo State, many other Nigerian state governors will very quickly follow the trailblazing example set by Governor Akeredolu of Ondo State, by making this highly lucrative trade a cornerstone of their own economic revival initiatives. Once that domino effect kicks in, it will only be a matter of time before the federal legislature will awaken from its slumber, and decriminalize all aspects of marijuana cultivation and trade in a timely fashion. 1 Like |

Oracleforce: Our Akson Gomina "Aki" Akeredulu might partake of some fine herb in the privacy of his home after a hard day's work at the helm of Ondo State affairs, and if that is the case, he is a gentleman and a scholar for sure. Enjoying high-quality connoisseur-grade cannabis in privacy is no more shocking than sipping some fine wine in the same way, at home. That said, Gomina Aki only mentioned using non-psychoactive CBD oil that is imported at great cost from the USA, when the raw material to produce that same CBD oil is abundant in Ondo State. It only makes sense for the legalization of this medicinal crop to be hastened, and added to the legacy of the current administration, either at the state level, or at the federal level. |
