mekaboy:What will drive foreign direct investment in Nigeria...... Between insecurity challenge facing the country and Nigeria economic and fiscal policies Or banning twitter(that has other platforms competing for Nigeria internet space) |

baralatie: Asking that a football tournament should end because you were given a yellow card. Forcing all other team members to leave the pitch. Thats exactly what buhari did. |

I hope the ban is lifted sooner than later. Buhari isn't helping the already battered image of this country at all. Buhari has succeeded in making us(Nigerians) a laughing stock in the comity of Nations. |

Igbos, very toxic, disgusting set of people. They crawled into Nairaland and they stank up the site with their animalistic, lying, insults and crass attitude. They moved into Facebook, Twitter and the same happened. They stink up everywhere they go. |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by baralatie(m): 12:52pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
mekaboy:You have not answered the question how the fundamental right of the citizen is been violated? The fg has said the twitter handle is been one unfair in the matter between it's corporate existence and activities of ipob who are anti state. The fg has not denied it's citizens the use of the internet and other social media apps from expressing themselves The fg has no issue with other ict players from working |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by mekaboy(m): 12:57pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
baralatie: The federal government forcing citizens to leave twitter without being able to provide an alternative. Twitter has its rules. If the government feels it has been treated unfairly by tweeter, they should present their case. Rather that behaving like cows. Even trump who was the US president, could not take such actions on behalf of the US citizens. Ok the government that claims to be treated unfairly, why will they ban twitter and leave facebook ? They both treated the government unjustly. |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by baralatie(m): 12:59pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
mekaboy:Is twitter the only social media app available in this world? If Trump was reelected into office what do you think would have happened by now with facebook.do you think Facebook will survive the attacks from US |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by mekaboy(m): 1:01pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
baralatie: Nothing. He was still president when he was suspended. Why wont the federal government ban facebook? Are they being partial, like they do in their appointments? |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by baralatie(m): 1:04pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
mekaboy:No! He was in election and there was little he can do then! I now said if Trump became reelected as president instead of Biden .what do you think will happen to Facebook for suspending the president trump of the United States. He go hear am. You don't know Trump As for the case of Facebook with Nigeria.Nigeria has too much investment in Facebook that it will not bother itself.Facebook, Instagram,WhatsApp is considered like Nairaland to Nigeria.Nigeria Government is at home with these social apps! Unlike twitter |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by mekaboy(m): 1:08pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
baralatie: He was still president. Americans don't behave like cows. The same laws that protected facebook from trump, will protect them from any other president. Thats the difference between developed countries and backward moving countries like Nigeria. They are governed by laws and not by sentiments. Everyone is under the law, not like Nigerians where fulani and cows are above the law. You are seeing the world from the backwardness of Nigeria. Thats why you think trump would be able to do anything to facebook, if he was reelected. Didn't you see trump declare lockdown and another state governor asked the people to open their businesses? Im sure you expect trump to send soldiers to the state and flog the people. |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by baralatie(m): 1:11pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
mekaboy:Same way in Nigeria.while in the us laws were made to protect Facebook and Twitter. In Nigeria there are no laws protecting twitter,or Facebook. So if the fg sees that these social media apps like twitter is been manipulated against it's corporate existence .it will act |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by mekaboy(m): 1:15pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
baralatie: The laws were not made specifically for facebook. The laws were made to protect such organisation from influence of a president. The same way our right to protest is trampled upon, thats how the government is doing the same in the media. You have not answered why buhari has not banned facebook. |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by baralatie(m): 1:17pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
mekaboy:Is Facebook a threat to Nigeria corporate existence or it has consistently showed that it is a key driver in the development of Nigeria ict growth compared to Twitter |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by mekaboy(m): 1:21pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
baralatie: Yes, according to Buhari's yardstick. They deleted buhari's tweet and video as well. He will apppear more foolish before the world, if he does not apply the same measures to facebook. |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by baralatie(m): 1:22pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
mekaboy:Does Facebook have tweets |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by baralatie(m): 1:25pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
mekaboy:The culprit is twitter because twitter decided to play the ostrich and was caught! You as a citizen can officially report Facebook to the fg and it will make its own decision on the matter |
Re: Twiter Ban: The Impact On Foreign Investment by mekaboy(m): 1:30pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
baralatie: You are beginning to reason one way. So facebook is no longer a social media app? Please, what is a tweet? How ignorant can people be? Please post the definition of a tweet, before we continue. Else i can't differentiate between you and herdsmen. |

baralatie: Ostrich in their rules? So all the people that call the attention of the mods to ban people on Nairaland. Are you saying Nairaland is playing the ostrich? |
