The Needed Paradigm Shift From Rants To Action: Twitter Ban Is Good For The Youths by Micheal A Adeniyi

We have been lazying around under the guise of tweets, riding the bicycle of social media, a bicycle we are sleeping on while we recycle old politicians with zero political will, oldies that knew how much they had lost in the game of popularity that they can only lean on dictatorship to live the remaining days of their life. “Don’t let the devil live” a shouts to Rick Ross, maybe a nail to the cross can be good for the devil since it has lesser power than God’s begotten son. Among hitlers men we have only witness the canonization of a more hitlerious leader who lack total respect for human rights. You would have thought 200 million accepted to agree to Twitter rules when Buhari signed up for twitter or perhaps 200 million Nigerian made a post that went against twitter policy. Why should 200 million be used as pawn for one man lack of intelligence, or the stupidity of some media aides who have been spewing rubbish and lies since 2015. You may argue he is popular among bigots but it is even funnier that his own minister announced the ban of twitter on twitter, that his media aids and e-rats are still on twitter. That APC still have active pages on twitter. In fact the government shut down Nigerians from twitter while it asked NCC and telcos to allow its media team, party members and loyalists to stay on the platform , that was what it achieved by linking sims with NIN. Also it would have been plausible if Buhari learnt a thing from history and precedence, a world powerful Trump was banned and all he did was to ask his supporters to follow him to a new platform because he was popular and sensible, because he respected the rights of his citizens.

The e-diots.

We have always know that many people are educated illiterate but most of these e-diots and supporters of total folly are men lacking the ability to think well, they have done lots of comparison, they have compared Nigeria to Korea, compared Buhari to Kanu and it reeks of mad omen. First, the constitution of Nigeria and korea is different, Buhari was elected by all Nigerians although he made himself the president of Northern republic of Nigeria. He and his team lack proper understanding to realize that even with 1 billion votes from the North without 2/3 from Nigerians he will never be sworn in as Nigeria’s president according to constitutional requirement. Also, Korea is safe and free from violence and kidnapping. It is protecting its peace guess you are protecting your peace. 90 people was slaughtered by bandit just yesterday, its on today’s dailies.

The Needed Paradigm Shift

We have been ranting on twitter for too long that we have been so comfortable talking without acting, that we think marching around the street while political tugs are rented to fight us is the best way to go, now is time to think. You Know Daura, you know the president family house, you know Malami and Lai Mohammed family house, you know Garba Shehu family house among others. You meet their wives at malls, meet their kids at the street of London and USA, if we can be punished for the sins of Buhari and his team on twitter, you know what to do. We have always known how to show our grievances but it seems twitter has blinded us for so long. The veil is off. The shift is here. Time to leave the virtual world and play the real game.

N.B: Time to stop announcing protest or next move on twitter. Babangida wasn’t informed. The maradona would have escaped a chase to Minna, the government just lost its saving grace for good 6 years. Young heroes it time to add more zeros to this bunch of Zeros in power.

Twitter ban is good, how can we allow one Nnamdi from somewhere to be beating the heck out of our combined forces of the communication ministry, BMC, information ministry and the presidency?
