These people do not want Nigeria to develop, they are only pretending. Scrap the military 1999 constitution, you refused...okay, let us go back to the 1963 constitution so that we can reduce government spending and be regionally independent, they refused...anyone who believes in this people is dead while alive. the same will be showering 5k on youths during elections, giving them guns to intimidate people and snatch ballot. Shame on those who believe in these thieves.

No going back on Yoruba nation. Enough of monkey dey chop and baboon the work. We want to move forward and not backward anymore

How old is the American constitution? Nigerian leaders are dishonest, they talk as if the current constitution was written by God. It doesn't matter anyway because the country is going to break up, everything points to that direction.

The constitution wasn’t made by men with two heads. Nigeria won’t end well.

Of course they will rather hold on to the present constitution that is designed to render 80% Nigerians into abject poverty.

That’s how Nigeria system is designed through this present constitution to constantly put 80% Nigerians in abject poverty, no improvement.

So the politicians(oppressors) can continue to have their way.

Things like this make me believe that Nigerians are destine to suffering and smiling lifestyle.

Oppressors don’t want the oppressed to be free

Thsts why they want to review it not so? Bt just going back to an archaic constitution for purely sentimental reasons without seeing it's impracticable areas creates more chaos than solutions.
Re: We Can't Have A New Constitution Or Return To That Of 1963 — Reps Insists by Nchenches: 3:09pm On Jun 07, 2021
But the referenced 1999 Constitution is a constitution supervised by northern military dictators on armored tanks breathing on the necks of the drafters of the constitution.

The constitution never passed through a referendum.

So how on earth could a reasonable law maker insist that the 1999 constitution did not stipulate making of new constitution, therefore, new constitution can’t be made by the people of Nigeria; a new constitution different from the one made by soldiers?

This National Assembly is representing only the interest of Arewa hegemony over Nigeria.

Nigeria needs a new constitution prepared democratically by Nigerians, and subjected to a referendum before the constitution is applied by the country.

Yes, so the country will continue with no clear-cut direction, and the every day, every moment killings will continue with backwardness and little or no development! Anyway, "Who is it that says and it comes to pass when the Lord has not declared it?"(Lamentations 3:37). There is God!

Its a lie. They just dont want to do it. If the constitution only allows for amendments, then make an amendment to it with provisions for a new constitution. Once that passes, then create a new constitution.
What do we expect to get from a rubberstamp legislature anyways? The current constitution only favors them.

Ideally, the useless 1999 constitution should be totally ignored, disregarded and buried while something fresh is drafted. So are they saying even till the end of the world, 1999 constitution remains? It can only be amended? You guys are not ready to do the needful to calm down the prevailing tension in the country. When things get out of control, e go follow reach all of una, or at least your relatives.
if things gets out of hands, before they run out of the country they might meet their death.
