Let us it down for them
So they can increase In Wisdom

Political Strategy is not Gra Gra
You don't always show opponents your Strengths
So you hide your Joker Card

Kwara Governors are always Yorubas ,any Traditional Ruler that Misbehaves they are free to Remove

Emir of Ilorin fully Submits to them
He has no Choice

Emir of Ilorin was Checkmated long ago
He is a Servant of the Governor
All Kwara Governors are Sons of the Soil

We already have Ilorin because we Control Kwara

What remains are religious differences between our own People

The British fought the Yoruba Ruler of ilorin called Balogun Inakoju alanamu in 1900 to take Over Ilorin

The Emir had already been defeated and deposed by him and his followers

Balogun alanamu was the Yoruba Ruler of ilorin

The rest is Tribal Politics

There are some Historians who even claim the real reason the British reinstated the Emir in Ilorin was because he was the one that gave Lord Lugard the information that was used to Track down and kill the fleeing Sultan of Sokoto Caliphate Attahiru and his Jihadist Army at Gombe
So the British reinstated hin as Emir of Ilorin as a reward

Many Fulani even see the Emir of Ilorin as a Traitor who sold out the Sultan of Sokoto Attahiru and his Sokoto Caliphate to the British

The Yorubas also deposed the Emir of Ilorin in 1934 he fled to Kaduna and was again reinstated by the British after 2 years

Read 1900 British Colonial Document below

That is Muslim Yorubas vs Traditional Yorubas

The Emir takes his orders from the Muslim Yorubas
The Yoruba Governor even has a Christian wife

But the Governor can still overrule them all

you can twist the narrative ...YORUBA MAN NO DEY FOOL YOURSELF...the king of Ilorin was the one that chased Yoruba traditionalist away and the king of Ilorin is Emir a Fulani man

Col Joe Achuzia was more like Field Marshal Erwin Rommel of WW2 Germany.

Both formidable military strategists who routed their foes completely in almost all Battle.

Imagine, General Ojukwu actually saw Joe the Hannibal on time, and he was the one who led the incursion to Mid West, rather Victor Banjo & Ifeanjuna...
Today, SW Region would have been practically independent!

Anyway..

BKayy:

Its obvious you haven't heard of the man below.
Col Joe Achuzia, The Hannibal of Biafra , the man that halted the Soviet led invasion of Onitsha 7 times. The man that single handedly led waste to an entire wing of the Nigerian army at one swipe at Abagana

I know say this e-war go today.....chaii I no quick come...

Abeg no be Fulani fault ohhh. You go sleep, then they attack you. Blame your self abeg.

Fulani attack people in their sleep? Is it their fault or their lazy enemies's for falling asleep?

The vast majority of soldiers in Nigeria since the days of the British have always been majorly Hausa it seems they are the ones doing the subduing

Re: 5 Most Powerful/Brave Tribes In Nigeria * by Bigkoko: 1:25pm On Jan 13
Do you mean Col Victor Banjo who paused the Biafran Liberation Incursion at Ore, rather than pressing home to the full Objective of the incursion, capture of Lagos and the full war cabinet of Gowon and Awo, and to which he was recalled and executed with Ifeanjuna, because he gave Col Gowon apple time to fled from Lagos to Kaduna and rally the British to deliver full war armament?

That incursion was what really rattled Britain to support the war fully, and it still took Nigeria two more years to achieve an end of the war with huge costs which still reverberate today.

If Banjo didn't pause at Ore, you won't be a Nigerian today, as you might be answering Benoise or Oduduwa.

KoshCAD:
Need I remind you how yoruba defeated your battalion of biafra in ore?

Don't forget, it was yoruba man that lead the biafra war in the biafra side

You are deceiving yourself, Lagos was capital of Nigeria for more than 70 years, all those places you mentioned did not held as capital for more than 2 years. That is when the British was conquering territories before settling in Lagos. Read your history man.

Bravery is not be winning battles....it's how you face insurmountable challenges e.g.
The Japs in WW 2.
The Germans in WW 2.
The Vietnamese in Vietnam war.
The binis in the battle of 1813.
The Opobos in the war against British oil merchants.
The Igbos of yesteryears against the British, and today against Fulani herders.

YorubaDemonswag:
I would have believed this rubbish list if not because that the bravest Igbo are Nnamdi kanu and Ojukwu of cursed memory, and both of them ran away while disguising as female,if you said those people are from bravest tribe in Nigeria then we can all agree that There's no single brave person in Nigeria.

It took Britain 2 months to defeat the Fulani, 2 weeks to defeat Yoruba, 3 months to defeat Benin in 1897, 33 years to defeat ekumeku warriors of Western ibos, 34 years to defeat aro Confederacy of Eastern ibos and akwa cross, the war ended in 1913, Britain then amalgamated Nigeria in 1914, the ibos delayed the amalgamation for 34 years, so encyclopedia Britannica is right

Re: 5 Most Powerful/Brave Tribes In Nigeria * by Christlike01: 7:08pm On Jan 13
Isn't it an irony that the most cowardly people to ever walk this earth are even the ones who always want everyone around to see them as strong and brave ? People whose only known "brave man" was a lifeless, fictional character named "Okonkwo" in one Chinua Achebe's play -Things Fall Apart ! Is it not funny as well that Igbo people, without any known records of civilisation,no prominent ancestry or any records of bravery/victory in battles, are always the ones calling and labelling everyone around them cowards, cowards, isn't it funny, really ?!

I will keep saying it,there is no basis for any dick measuring contest between Yoruba and Igbo. The records of the two are there for any discerning mind to see ! Yoruba conquered territories far beyond the shores of present day Nigeria. They fought brutal wars for ages and were never defeated in any ! That was the kind of bravery Colonel Fajuyi displayed in the face of certain death when the northern soldiers came for Ironsi's head. It was the same kind of bravery Obasanjo,Idiagbon,MKO,Wole Soyinka,Gani Fawehinmi,Falana, etc displayed in the face of great odds and death !

The Op must be suffering from Paranoid personality disorder,a disease which makes one to believe what's not true about oneself to be true ! A person with paranoid personality posits a false grandiose image of himself and it makes the person to believe that he is such a very special person and wants other people to kowtow to his madness and see him as he wants to be seen: a very important person ! He becomes angry when others don't see him the way he wants to be seen or when he is shown his true identity ! This is the problem with the Op, he had to create a thread just to massage his igbotic ego when it is on record that Igbo people have no history of any known war not to even talk of victory in any !

If there is any tribe that should occupy the first position on that list,it should be the Yoruba people! Yoruba fought wars more than any other ethnic group in Africa and they were never conquered. There are so many documented accounts/records to support this,it is not a fallacy. Igbo shouldn't be on that list, there is no historical records to support Igbo people's claim to bravery,no such records.

You need to be put in your place totally, so all this rubbish chest-beating will cease. You can't reclaim ILORIN and you want to confront people that the same FULANi fear?

Yoruba wrote that the British to colonised them ...Igbo was so hard that they introduced the indirect rule

The Anglo Aro war took so many years for the war to end ...I don't want to talk about Ekumeku war or the Mbaise killings of the colonials

Hausa and Fulani was a walk over ...Yoruba was the easiest...Benin tried for few weeks before they exiled the king

Lol ! Which "more advanced race of people " recorgnised Igbo as warriors ? Do you guys even know the meaning of "warrior" that you are throwing around carelessly ?! How can anyone recorgnise a tribe that has no known record of war history or conquered any territory through war as warriors ? Trust me, you guys have Seun to thank a lot for as he is the one saving you guys from some real and certain embarrassments. Some of us would have uploaded some pictures and receipts here which would have really embarrassed Igbo people ! You don't want to read what the white men wrote about your people when they arrived in Africa;it will really embarrass you, trust me !

Mumu, why waiting for Nigeria to break up before attacking the Yoruba ? You have always wanted to do that but your "livers" always fail you each time you contemplate it ! Ode,ilorin, yen, yen, yen, when it is on records that the Yoruba mercilessly crushed and defeated the Fulani Army 1840 - see the battle of Osogbo !

Igbo are not any warrior tribe, that exists only your deluded mind ! A tribe whose people were sold in droves into the slavery by its neighouring tribes - Ijaw,Igala,Binis - are today calling themselves one yeye "warrior tribe" ! Isn't that laughable,Mr warrior from Alaigbo, lol ! Nobody is even fighting with you,all we are asking for is for you guys to bring just a proof to support this 'warrior tribe'' claim ! The only "warrior" that's recorded in your tasteless history is one fictional "Okonkwo" in Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart ! So shut up your smelly ogiri trap there, kiddo !
