The proper role of the legislature in circumstances like this is first to peel back the layers of the decision-making process to unravel the issues until we develop an understanding of the why and the how of executive decisions

Twitter made a statement in which they said they don't know President Buhari and which country he runs.

When you're blinded by hate and self imposed narrow mindedness, you will applaud someone who is clearly insulting you.
Most Nigerians who are sympathetic with Twitter today don't know how much of an insult this comment is to even them.
They see Buhari as the target here but there are two elements in this insult.
Twitter says they don't know President Buhari.
But they didn't stop there.
They also added that they don't know the country he is leading. In other words they don't know Nigeria.

Twitter is brazenly saying they don't know Africas most populous nation and the country with the highest concentration of black people in the world. Twitter is brazenly saying they don't know a country where over 11 billion dollars of their revenue comes from with over 40 million subscribers.

Some years ago Pastor Chris Oyakhilome chose to use twitter to communicate some prayer information to Christ Embassy members worldwide.
Within few weeks Pastor Chris broke the records of having the most amount of followers within such a short period.

In their arrogance, Twitter called Pastor Chris' twitter account to question and described the followership as bogus.

Simply put, Twitter believed that nobody from a place like Nigeria had enough clout to garner such followership within such a short time - a feat that no Hollywood star was able to achieve -.

Pastor Chris wasn't prepared for their drama, he pulled out of twitter and challenged his church tech people to design a platform that the church can use. That's what gave birth to Yookos.

Today Yookos is a formidable competitor with Twitter so much so that ex President Barack Obama acknowledged the giant strides made by the platform within such a short time after it was launched.

Eventually twitter confirmed Pastor Chris' account and "apologized" but it was too late.
Pastor Chris had moved his huge followership into Yookos.

Several years later Twitter is saying that they don't know the country that the same Pastor Chris comes from.
That's arrogance taken too far.

Any Nigerian who tolerates this insult is just a self hating sychophant.

Someone says you and your country don't matter and you're jubilating.
Is that not a serious sickness?

Buhari is testing the waters. Every little illegality he gets a way with is a step towards something more sinister.

It will soon get to the point where he can declare himself president for yet another term and cite “insecurity” as an excuse and these Reps will uphold it.

The issue of war. No one asked for war. Referendum has been ringing in our ears. Besides it is your President Buhari aka bubu who claims to want to use war as a language he believes solve the problem.
There greatest fear is a united southern Nigeria. with that there is no war in sight but a replica of Korea and sudan.
A united south would defeat a backward North

When will we be united enough as southerners to resist the cunning ways of the Fulanis who have held us hostage for too long. For far too long.

Before you come here and open your mouth waaaaa! I was part of the team that built yookos and it took only the grace of God before our director then could approve monthly salaries and that lady was one of the ministers of Christ Embassy. Talk about leading by examples. Twitter has the right to delete, simple.

COMMON TWITTER BAN YOU ARE CRYING
WHEN WAR STARTS...
When war starts, first of all, you won't have internet to post or comment.
You won't be able to withdraw your money from the Bank, or even buy and sell.
Shops, market, hospitals, transport, petrol stations, power companies, will all be closed.
You will soon be left in darkness with no food, light or even water.
People will loot, kill, destroy, rape, kidnap and there won't be law enforcement agents to be called upon. The few law enforcement agents will be protecting the politicians and important facilities.
You won't even know where your brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers and children are.
You will soon go hungry and you gradually die without even been hit by a bullet.
Every where will be on fire. All you will hear, will be guns, day in, day out.
It may last for days, weeks, months and even years.
War no be like wetin you dey watch for American movies, wey dey end after one hour oh.
We will all end up in the forest or stay cocooned in our homes.
The UN will do nothing than send you aids, and the powerful will hijack them.
Today, look at Libya, Sudan, Iraq, Syria, Palestine
Other countries will only be on the internet and be sympathising with us, but nah we go suffer am.
You want Biafra, Oduduwa, Niger-Delta Republic and Arewa Republic?
Tell the law makers from your states to move a motion for referendum in the national Assembly.
If we continue this Gun games, it will consume all of us, and we will loose everything, including lives.
The person that asked you to carry guns, why is he not leading from the front with his own gun?
MAY GOD CONTINUE TO PROTECT US ALL. MAY PEACE CONTINUE TO REIGN IN OUR COUNTRY!!!

There is no room for referendum in our constitution... Una no dey hear. Until the useless constitution is changed , we are in soup.

I blame that useless Nnamdi Azikwe that refused secession to be included in our constitution. All in the name of Mr One Nigeria, he plunged us into this mess.

Buhari is testing the waters. Every little illegality he gets a way with is a step towards something more sinister.

It will soon get to the point where he can declare himself president for yet another term and cite “insecurity” as an excuse and these Reps will uphold it.

Hmmm, This thing you have said is Possible..

Dats y d NASS have to Rise up and Save Nigeria as they did in 2006 with Obasanjo's third term!!

On a lighter note,
*We heard someone telling his landlord that his rent money for the year is trapped in his Twitter account*

*The landlord too is now abusing Buhari grin cheesy wink grin cheesy wink

Truth is not bitter, just that some people are bitter to the truth.

We Rise!

Twitter knows Buhari and they know Nigeria but they just threw that as a brazen insult to Buhari. He who wants respect from others should respect himself first.

Buhari has no regard for us so Twitter has no regard for him.

Your defence is well crafted but it's derailed your readers from the main reason twitter deleted Buhari's Tweet.

F'emi (pardon me if I didn't refer to you as Honorable), you reek of collosal incompetence judging from what you just vomited. Why did you say that you needed to know the exact stance of the executive on this ban issue?
Weren't you elected to protect the people's interest ONLY? since when did executive interest matter to you, being an independent arm of power? Or is there something you are not telling us - that you guys are no longer independent?
You quoted Kipling, but ironically, you seem to have lost your head too.

Other countries will only be on the internet and be sympathising with us, but nah we go suffer am.#

Amen, amen, amen
