Bishop Inumimo lived in a cryptic city, the western part of the Country called Esoteric where the strange beings lived and everything was vague.

He was a notable man of great repute, an influential man in the city, popular, well known, a man of authority and of course as a servant of God respected by all, he built a Church in the city where he presided as Bishop. He had sons and daughters. Loved by all.

Bishop Inumimo as his name "Clean heart" was a man after God's heart, honest to a fault and hates cheating. He was a great intercessor, he could pray Ten hours non stop, a worshiper and a praise warrior of Adonai. He was energetic, talk of soul winning, he was number one. What about charity? He was excellent in taking care of the widows, the less privilege, the jobless, the homeless, he was there to meet them at the point of their various needs. Despite his commitment to the work of God, he invested his money in oil and gas business, no one can be compared to the offering and tithe Bsihop Inumimo paid even to his own church he was rich in naira and foreign currencies, be they, dollars, pounds and so on. Just name it.

One day, there was a meeting in the Heavenlies, in the heavens of heavens where God Almighty presided as the Judge, the angels of God came to present themselves.Alas! there appeared a mysterious man called Mr. Satan, aka "accuser of the brethren". Whether he was invited or not is still unknown but one can guess from the question the Almighty God asked him: where do you come from? He answered, from going to and fro on the earth, walking up and down on it.

And God Almighty said to Mr.Satan, aka "accuser of the brethren" , here is my beloved son, Bishop Inumimo, he made me happy always, despite the fact that you have been moving me against him to destroy him without any reason or any accusation. he still held fast his righteousness, his integrity,there is none like him on the face of the earth.


Unimpressed, unbothered and unshaken, Mr.Satan replied,Does he do it without anything attached? Haven't you given him everything? Just lay your hands on his possessions and you will see the other side of him.

Unfortunately and unfairly, Bishop Inumimo was in absentia, he was not in the meeting held in the heavenlies to defend himself before God and stop the accuser of the brethren during the trial, therefore, Bishop Inumimo was found guilty and sentence to years of suffering, weeping, crying, tribulation, affliction, poverty, disaster, tragedy, sickness and diseases without mercy.

Thanks be to God, Bishop Inumimo passed the test and became more richer and powerful than he was before the trial.

What do you do during your trying times?

This is an allegory on the first two Chapters of the book of Job in the Bible.

I hope you have learnt one or two lessons.


I would like to mentioned some important lessons from this story.

1. God and Satan have parts to play in our lives.

2. God is on the part of remoulding us and making us better in our relationship with him.

3. God is good and loving but he would not allow Satan to have the final say but God will permit Satan, sometimes as an instrument of the moulding process to make us a better Christian.


4. Satan has an unhindered access to God's throne, probably, invited or not invited.

5. Satan is evil. Satan is the owner of sickness and diseases not God Almighty.

6. God's agenda for his most cherished and loved individual is to test him or her. It is to pass us through some inconveniences for our own good. It is to pass us through tribulations after which we will come out as refined gold.

7. Never blame God when things are not working according to your plan but rather give glory to him and thank him for life.

8. God is the only one who can deliver us and not Satan. That's why we must not be far away from the place of prayer during tribulations or satanic attacks.

9. When a good man or a righteous man is in trouble, we should not mock him or accused him as a sinner or a hypocrite. We are not to judge him. God has a reason for that trouble.

10. Let's try to help people in trouble instead of condemning them but we should allow the Holy spirit of God to lead us.
