Another Igbo hater spotted. We are capable of matching you all word for word. Yes, Igbo are in SS, Midwest (Edo and Delta) and Middlebelt Benue and Kogi. That an Igbo man wanted justice and equity for Southern minorities and proposed SS with which they're fighting us today doesn't take away from the fact that Nigeria is working to weaken Igbo by carving Igbos away from Igbo homeland. If i may answer no.3, South South is still referred to as East because it emerged from the old Eastern region which was broken up during the war. At independence Eastern region was made up of today's States of Enugu, Anambra, IMO, Abia, Ebonyi, Cross River, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa. During the war it was broken up into States by the Northern military junta. It was similar treatment Old Western region got during the Awolowo-Akintola crisis that finally led to the first military coup. Old Western region was made up of today's Ogun, Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo, Osun, Delta and Edo with Lagos being just like today's Abuja - Federal Capital Territory. Tafawa Balewa decided to split Awolowo's West by carving out a Edo and Delta into what he called Midwestern Region. All these while they insured that the North remained one bloc

The ultimate goal ought to have been to cut the North down to size for good. So it would have been better if those geopolitical units within the Northern geosphere were given different names that removed connotation of 'North.' It should have been Northern zone, for the states in the parent present-day north-west; Savannah zone, for those states in the present-day north-east; and Middle-Belt zone for states in the present-day north-central region. One thing is clear till date. Igbos have always ment well for this country and have always wanted equal rights for all, but somehow, Nigeria ve always schemed against igbos... Despite their goodwill.
