Vice President Yemi Osinbajo says the recent supplementary budget sent to the National Assembly will help the federal government end insecurity in Nigeria.

Osinbajo spoke when he received the Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

At the meeting was the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo and Senator Opeyemi Bamidele.

The VP appealed urged traditional rulers, local and state governments to collaborate with the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to tackle current challenges.

Osinbajo recalled that Buhari recently constituted a committee to look at the security infrastructure of the country.

“The result of that is a bill before the National Assembly, a supplementary bill. The purpose is to present some of the needs of the military and other security agencies to beef up our response.

“I can assure you that soon, the issue of insecurity will be a thing of the past. We will all live in peace and prosperity in this country.”

The VP advocated vigilance at the local level, noting that most of the troubling issues occur in communities.

Only one interview that Buhari will grant a media house is enough to ignite another.

Somebody tell this man that not all problems require military action.

Insecurity will end soon ke While bandit can now walk freely into army barracks to rustle cow without any consequence, an example of this is the invasion of Jaji Barracks by bandits....

If they don't make noise how will they cover up for their glaring failure in securing the lives and properties of Nigerians that stood under the sun to vote them....

This too shall pass.

Boko Haram is no more, the banditry and Kidnaping shall be no more. Service chiefs need to step up their game. End this menace

No be by mouth.

-Not when the government is part of an ethnic agenda.
-Not when the Fulanised government keep helping their people to kill indeginous people.

Except peace to them means conquest.

We shall not be conquered.

We have victory over the Fulani caliphate in Jesus' name.

Believe this man at your own risk... Especially people of Benue, don’t believe this man and lose guard, else Fulani militias will strike again.

Him and his principal are used to getting reports of people being killed on a daily basis so they are used to it. Useless leaders

How soon? Cos bandits sack soldiers yesterday for Borno barracks. Another set still go thief soldiers cows for another barracks...

Hehehe "Soldiers' cows in barracks" – I can never get used to how ridiculous this sounds.

How can people who say they are security agents fighting insurgency, have time to be training and pushing cows, Tori olorun? The army has really turned into a caricature.

Yes, when Boko Haram = Bandits = Fulani herdsmen finally get to Aso Rock and bring out their Patron and Financier to Eagle Square and tie him to the flag of Nigeria and whip him mercilessly till he accepts Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.
