Quite commendable! I wish the government would put in the same energy in motivating talents like this as they are putting in going after igboho and kanu.

Wow commendable indeed … We Nigerians are very talented and resourceful people .

But guys this is not a car , rather it’s a redesigned tricycle popularly called KEKE ( marwa ) ……

An electric motor powered KEKE would’ve been more ingenious and news worthy ……

This is not the innovation we need to grow our technical abilities …… We don’t need more mediocre car makers again from Nigeria . What we need is a robust automobile manufacturing implementation plan …. Ghana is gradually leaving us behind in the dust of mediocrity which Nigerians seems to love ……

Kudos guy on your project ,
Voice22:

Internal combustion engine is a finished technology. I would rather be impressed if he built an electric car.

That's the same situation with Nigeria.
High and low voltage hydro electricity generation has been a finished technology for a long time but we still cannot get the generation and distribution right.

The world is moving over to smart grids.

In that popular comedy skit meme voice;

"Naija now dem never leave you? They have left you behind" grin
U end up typing beautiful nonsense, before you reply show us the one you did build.

Nice work , very commendable...........

He might have joined already made engines together but the mechanism is what matters now for a BSc graduate in Nigeria.....

FG could have helped the young man but right now they are busy with a fair trial .....
So let him look for another alternative, and leave the country for a brighter future....

Rotten pussy...
I spit...
You no get enough sense..
Your name says it all.
rottenPussy:
These kind of news does not make sense. Any technical oriented person with enough money to by parts can assemble any car.

To think the assembled car is not even on par with the state of the art car designs undecided

He won't pass as my project student with this.

Let him attempt to make a light bulb or even the smallest car part from scratch and I would gladly pass him for just attempting to make something from scratch-- not all these assembly and stuff.

A reality TV show could be done to promote things like this. Unlike one TV show that gives birth to mediocres year after year, I won't mind voting multiple times to promote this.
We cannot continue to wait forour politicians to do what they've not done since 1882.

For a final year project, bro he did exceptionally well... Not just commendable, but exceptional. While most of you submitted recycled paper project, someone actually produced something with his sweat and know-how and this is by no means comparable to any DIY in the west. Go to YouTube, most of the DIY experts are graduates with practical experience in Industrial Design, Technology and some of them have worked for NASA, Toyota, General Motors and Co. and as such have first hand industrial exposure and experience.

Building a car is no small feat, do not trivialize his achievement through unnecessary comparison.

you are one of the few sensible and intelligent person on this thread.

Most of the idiots undermining the young man's effort can't assemble a toy car.

I was not trivializing his accomplishment, I was just drawing attention to the fact that FG should be funding STEM research and Education more than they spend feeding school children at home (which is an obvious scam anyways)

Very good. Opolo Po Ju grin

Kudos to him.
One thing about Nigerians is that when they see what is good, they acknowledged it, irrespective of tribes,
religions, or gender!
Imagine when GLO introduced per second Billiings, almost all Nigerians
welcome that development then and that is how other Companies were
forced to reduced their prices.
The World recommended yearly Budget for education in Africa is
between 16 to 23% but what do we have here in Nigeria?
7% or at most 10%! Even then, the govt( Federal and State)hardly pay attention to its finances!
But we know how to play politics with everything and so we can't move forward!
When last did you hear the Education Minister talking on education!
We should be ashamed of all our terrible actions that is impacting Negatives on our Education in Nigeria!
White Man has moved years ahead since!!!!!
As at today the govt is chasing shadows, creating more problems and blaming the people instead.
