Seun:

Do you guys think Ojukwu would have handed over to a civilian government if the Biafra project succeeded?

MAy GOD Bless Ojukwu.

@Fromuk

I'll be bored of life if I get to 70. If I live up to 90, I'll prescribe to euthanasia.

This is an adaptation of a message I posted on a different but similar thread to my dear friend Afam

-------------------------------

I'm really sorry to tell you this, but the secession of southern Nigeria from the grips of the British. SCOA (Societe Commerciales de l'Afrique de l'Ouest), TOTAL, Peugeot were the companies in the forefront of charging the French government to use any means necessary to get them a share of the Nigerian market because while colonial French Africa was very large, it was also largely unprofitable.

But it was after oil was discovered in Southern Nigeria around Independence that Total spearheaded to support for a recession of Southern Nigeria.

All along, what the French companies wanted was to be allowed to enter any part of Nigeria to do business without British harassment and biased taxing. But with the discovery of Oil, they decided they wanted Southern Nigeria! Especially Total. It was since 1960 that France started plotting the secession of Southern Nigeria till they found the right man to use. Ojukwu's proposal at Aburi was scripted by France. War had been declared in a boardroom in France more than five years before Ojukwu learnt about it, before the Aburi Accord was thought of, before the confederacy scam was crafted.

The Ibos fought for their freedom yes! They fought to prevent total annihilation. But do they know that Ojukwu, Total, Sweden and France with its colonies put them in Jeopardy to fight for their lives?

It is just too bad.

Did you pray for Abacha when he fell ill? So why are you praying for Ojukwu? Is it just because he's Igbo?
Re: Ex Warlord: Ojukwu Collapses In Church by Mamajama(m): 2:02pm On Jul 17, 2007
Seun I am not sure if you can classify OJUKWu as a dictator. Although I don't agree with his liberation move that resulted in over 1 millions death.
Re: Ex Warlord: Ojukwu Collapses In Church by Seun(m): 2:18pm On Jul 17, 2007
Did he conduct a referendum so the Igbo people could decide on whether they wanted to pay the price of secession? When he made that unfortunate decision for them, did he conduct a Biafran presidential election?

Colonial dictators, Hausa dictators, Yoruba dictators, Igbo dictators, they are all basically the same.
Re: Ex Warlord: Ojukwu Collapses In Church by denex: 2:25pm On Jul 17, 2007
Mamajama am not sure you can classify ice as water.
Though I know that it melts whe in temperatures far above freezing point.

Ojukwu would not have just been an ordinary dictator, he would have been just like Castro and Mugabe, President for life. And he wouldn't even know he was doing anything wrong.

That is the worst kind of dictator. The one who believes he is Mother Thesesa.
Re: Ex Warlord: Ojukwu Collapses In Church by Mamajama(m): 2:25pm On Jul 17, 2007
OK, who's fault was it if they all flock around him like headless chicken to get killed?  he should not be blame for that, you can take the sheep to the well but you cant make or force him to drink the water.  In my opinion, he showed them what it will be like to be independent and they all decided to followed him and agreed with his vision.

You could trick it to drink though.

IS it because you are not igbo thats why you are just so against him. He wanted something good for the igbos when he declared the biafran republic. He should be an important figure to every Nigerian and not to igbos alone.

My brother please don't even waste your time trying to argue with seun and his people, the fact remains that Ojukwu will always be the hero for we Igbos and if they don't like it, they can all go jump off the third mainland bridge in Lagos for all I care. You can ban me all you want seun. I'm sure if this thread was about Awolowo you would be deleting all the negative comments Nonsense angry

I have never seen a biased human being like seun before, his thinking is always on the negative side. You can ban me for saying it i dont care. Did u have this kinda forum when your Abacha was dying?  i think no and more over you cannnot compare the two as they belong to two different class of life. I think this forum is the only positive contribution you have ever made. Grow up dude and stop being recist or whatever.

You are just saying the truth. Seun has failed to understand the truth in Ojukwu story. All he just feel Is that ojukwu is a failure. But Ojukwu is a hero to we Nigerians. IF we have many minds like ojukwu in Nigeria, then i think no government official can ever go away with our money.
Re: Ex Warlord: Ojukwu Collapses In Church by laudate: 8:39pm On Jul 18, 2007
You guys are being unfair to Seun. Check through all the other threads on this forum. Several people have said many derogatory things about Awolowo, and other people from Seun's tribe. Yet, he has never banned anyone for that. It even takes him forever, before he closes any thread that deals with such topics.

So kindly cut him some slack. Am not from Seun's area, and I have never met him. But I don't think he is as bad as you guys are trying to paint him.

Ojukwu strategy was a failure and not him, haba he married miss Nigeria, lol KUDOS to him, I am not IGBO but I admire his defiant and courage to stand up for his beliefs, was it the right move at the time? my answere is No.
Re: Ex Warlord: Ojukwu Collapses In Church by denex: 8:55pm On Jul 18, 2007
When I claim that Okocha is the greatest footballer in the world today, no Igbo man accused me of being an Igbo lover.

When we were expressing our sorrow at the death of Ekene Dili Chukwu, no one harassed us that we should leave Igbos alone.

When we hail Nnamdi Azikiwe as a man who meant a lot to Africa, nobody paid us heed.

Now because we want to expose a selfish, cunning trickster that used the lives of more than 2 million people as bait, they say we're Igbo haters.
Re: Ex Warlord: Ojukwu Collapses In Church by Mamajama(m): 8:57pm On Jul 18, 2007
denex that just tells you you can't please every Nigerians, we are too diverse in culture, nature, and even color. Imagine people like BIGB1 talking about liberating Nigeria, and wants his father IBB to come back and rule us?

That is why we all must be in criticising either cultures or thier leaders. Afterall the confederate flag in the USA means  different things to different people. If people like denex and Ono will learn to respect differences then the country wil be a better place.

@denex, have ever cared to probe more why inspite of the civil war and millions of igbo people died, he is still popular igboland? why is there MASSOB?

See, you do not just criticise people because everybody is doing that. Sometimes it is good to just think outside the box.

The man has pulled one of the greatest scams in the History of Nigeria and still, nobody knows. Every scam artist feeds on the emotions of his victim.

This is how Tinubu almost scammed Nigeria of billions of dollars with his ENRON IPP deal. When the Federal Government refused to hand over our $5 billion to that criminal enterprise ENRON, Tinubu started working on Lagosians emotions and their desperate need for electricity.

Up till today most Lagosians do not know that ENRON was a collapsing company that wanted to steal Nigeria $5 billion through Tinubu's efforts in order to pay off shareholders.

That is about the same kind of scam that self-preserving Ojukwu of a man almost succeeded in pulling for France and Total, using the emotions of the Igbos and Hausas.

I pray he confesses before he dies.

Ojukwu was a visionary, part of what he fought against were the "sons of Othman Dan fodio"as evidenced in his speeches.

don't worry.

When you wake up one morning and your sisters and mother are wearing burquas as nightgowns, you'll be looking for your own Ojukwu. grin

Treason !
Isn't that when one is trying to overthrow a government.
Biafrans were seeking their own Biafran state and wanted to happily leave the Northerners and Westerners in the  unholy matrimony called Nigeria.

Lorg lugard, lugarded us all together in 1914 and in 1966,Biafra got tired of the  sinful party and wanted to leave the unholy nuptual
They should have quietly let the unhappy spouse leave the abusive relationship instead of insisting she stays on and does as instructed. grin grin
