What I don't understand is, who are the mobs that attack fire service assets on duty?... Is it not the same Nigeria, we always see people assisting fire service with water and helping quench fires they should have done effortlessly?

Even if they want security, why not attach a police unit to the fire service everytime they go on duties.

Has fire service turned to terrorism , this is mission impossible because we will be hearing bullet hitting innocent people everyday.its Time to hear they killed people the went to save just for promotion. since the safety of our farmers and teachers are no more guaranteed while on duty, due to the activities of bandits and fulani-herdsmen, they need to be armed to protect themselves, especially the farmers.
presently the farmers' population have reduced drastically resulting from fulani-herdsmen attacks and this leads to the present food shortages and high prices of food stuff in Nigeria.

In a sane country, local police and fire department work together at any fire scene.

Very soon they will create a medical (or paramedic) section in the fire service and we just be repeating roles and going backwards

If the reason is to arm them against mobs that allegedly attack them during operations as you claim, don't you think they are attacked due to their inefficiency. So you think arming them will make them efficient? Think again because you end up making the mobs more sophisticated and dangerous.

If not, they will use this same AK47 to rob Nigerians and even sell or rent them to robbers and tell you that they are not being paid salary.
