Buhari is a useless president.

But kanu and his unidentified gun men are criminals.
They're terrorists.

BUHARI is not from Nigeria. It is alleged that he is from Niger Rebublic. Hence he wants to destroy Nigeria with his actions and thereafter he can go back to Niger Rebublic to meet his brothers.
You can see how he has used his Fulani bandits and herdsmen brothers to destroy farms. Now farmers can no longer grow crops and go to farms. Famine is here now because no food. Food scarcity.

Honestly, his incompetence aside, Nigerians are really divided more than ever before
And that's also part of his falure
A leader is suppose to be someone who fosters unity and gives the people a common goal, through his words and actions.

Buhari has failed to do so,
Take a look at how the FG was handling the herdsmen and bandits issue with gloves, but quickly labelled the Biafra agitators as terrorist, when it initially started as nothing, but a non violent protest in 2017.
Or how when the borders were closed, goods weren't allowed to move through southern borders, but still left the northern boarders porous.
Or how the south feels his high level government appointments are lopsided.

And how he keeps silent with the increasing insecurity and killings.

To put it simply through his actions and inactions, has caused increasing tensions between the regions.

Former military governor of Kaduna State, Colonel Abubakar Dangiwa Umar (retd), has said President Muhammadu Buhari’s government has exhibited poor skills in managing the diversity in the country.

In a statement entitled “Nigeria: Nation Challenged” and made available to the Tribune Online on Wednesday, Dangiwa said that “it is my long held belief that this country is more beneficial to all the federating units if only because it provides a security umbrella to all its units.”

On the re-arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Independent Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Dangiwa said: “The recent re-arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was greeted with a loud sigh of relief and celebration in some sections of the country.

“It also elicited congratulatory messages to the Federal Government which appears overwhelmed by the intractable security challenges and in dire need of any redeeming act.

“This is clearly an exaggeration of the security threat Nnamdi Kanu and indeed IPOB pose to our nation’s security and unity.

“It is quite strange and disturbing that the Federal Government is according undue attention to the threats of separatist movements in contrast to the more daunting ones posed by bandits, kidnappers and insurgents in the North-West, some parts of North-Central and North-East.

“Activities of those criminals have resulted in the evacuation of over 20 per cent of the villages in North-West and North-East. Hundreds are being murdered and maimed every week.

“Many more are kidnapped for ransom. Millions have been rendered internally displaced, facing disease and starvation.

“Over 1,000 school children were abducted in the past eight months with over 300 still in the hands of the bandits and kidnappers demanding humongous ransom payments. Rape of women and young girls has become a daily occurrence.

“Most economic activities, particularly farming, which is the mainstay of the people in these areas, are now all but impossible.

“Government’s earlier claim of having technically defeated the Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East has turned out to be empty propaganda. Contrary to this claim, the enemy has morphed into a more determined and deadly force, threatening to overrun the whole of the North-East.

“For the average Northerner living in these zones, who is barely aware of the activities of separatists, banditry, kidnappings and insurgency are of greater threat and concern to him.

“The arrest of Nnamdi Kanu is of no serious consequence, since it does nothing to ameliorate his harsh and brutal condition.

“In recognising or reasserting the right of every citizen or group to express their desire for self-determination, one does not support or condone the use of violence for such purpose. IPOB and its leader may well be responsible for some of the violence, including the murder of security personnel, arson and destruction of public and private properties for which they should be held to account.

“We must however be honest enough to identify the cause of the current growing restiveness in the South-East. By all means, government needs to deploy non-violent means in addressing the problem. It is self-evident that justice, fairness and equity are the best means of building a united and virile nation, particularly one as diverse and fragile as Nigeria.

“lt is my long held belief that this country is more beneficial to all the federating units if only because it provides a security umbrella to all its units. None of them will fare better in a balkanised Nigeria due to their similar diversities.

“The recognition of Nigeria as the giant of Africa is not on account of its huge oil wealth, but its size, diversity as well as other potential. These notwithstanding, the nation can only remain united and prosperous when all its citizens and the component parts feel a true sense of belonging.

“Without it, the nation’s unity will be in serious jeopardy similar to what Nigeria is currently experiencing.

“Truth be told, the Buhari’s government has so far exhibited poor skills in its management of our diversity. Yet it has the benefit of great examples by past administrations and statesmen which should guide it.

After our bitter Civil War, the then Head of the Federal Military Government, General Yakubu Gowon, declared a no victor, no vanquished reconciliation and reintegration policy.

“Its implementation may not have been perfect but it produced a guiding vision which served as a template for the reintegration of the nation.

“In 1978, eight years after the Civil War, the NPN presidential candidate, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, a former Commissioner for Finance in the Gowon government, picked his running mate, Dr Alex Ekwueme, from the South-East.

“They won the 1979 presidential election and enjoyed an enviable brotherly relationship as president and vice president. They won a second term in 1983. President Shagari’s government pardoned the former Biafra secessionist leader, Chief Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, which permitted him to return from exile in 1982. He went on to contest a senatorial seat under the NPN.

“These are in sharp contrast to the declaration of President Buhari after his election in 2015 in which he promised not to treat, on equal terms, those who gave him only five per cent of their votes with those who gave him over 97 per cent of theirs.

“This may account for his government’s refusal to appoint an Igbo as head of any of the security services. A review of this ill-advised policy will go a long way to neutralise the growing influence of IPOB among Ndigbo, both at home and in diaspora.

“The Federal Government must go beyond the arrest of Kanu and pay greater attention to the more serious security challenges threatening to cripple the country completely.

“The apparent failure of our security forces to deal decisively as the president so often commands them to do, with these security threats is obviously due to the acute shortage of manpower and equipment.

“These deficiencies have resulted in the thin spread of our forces and lack of timely rotation in areas of conflict. Government must massively increase security manpower and equipment. As we have seen, mere change of service chiefs would appear far from being the solution.”

Sharia no be the problem, no be same Sharia dey Dubai, Saudi & Algeria, Iran etc. The leaders are just super corrupt & won't allow people who thoroughly mean well for Nigeria to get in power, cause then, their won't be free money for them. Since independence na just old same corrupt politicians we dey recycle for all political posts, ministerial appointments & almost 70% of agencies heads.

So how do u want things to change with recycled garbage

Sharia is problem. Boko Haram says it’s fighting for a Nigeria to be governed with sharia criminal justice system, the same sharia criminal justice system that the 12 sharia states adopted in 1999.
In 2001, Muhammadu Buhari told a huge crowd of Moslems in Kaduna that he would not stop fighting until Islamic Sharia criminal justice system is applied in all the states of Nigeria.
One of the earliest demands of Tanko Mohammed appointed by Buhari as CJN was that Islamic Sharia criminal justice system be included in the constitution. He boasted that after all, they have the numbers in the National Assembly to include Islamic Sharia criminal justice system in the constitution.

Boko Haram with its offshoots - bandits, AK-47 armed Fulani herdsmen have contributed to ruin Nigeria.

If not for the sabotage of Nigeria armed forces by the people from the 12 sharia states, the armed forces should have defeated Boko Haram long ago.
It’s most deceptive to say that sharia is not the problem.

Ipob was a pseudo threat.
The attention it received was exaggerated.

Fulani herdmen, bandits, bokoharam are the real threats.

How Buhari a former military general could not see it is either a result of chronic bigotry or a testament to the poor training of our military that gave birth to the likes of buhari.

I wonder if those around the President ever tell him the truth, or are merely telling him what he wants to hear. Does he think he will be there for ever? An adage in Yoruba says, "Oba to je, tilu toro, oruko re onipare, eyi to si je tilu tuka, oruko re naa ko ni pare" Posterity will speak if he did right or not.
For a President of a country coming to commend invasion of an individual home at 1.34am on a lame excuse of stockpiling arms, and are proud to say they killed two innocent citizens in a democratic government. I feel so disappointed.
If the energy deployed in attacking this individual can be channeled into fighting the bandits, kidnappers and boko harams that are daily slaughtering are brethren in the north, and making life unbearable, we will be better of.
He's is the President of the entire nation, and he's supposed to be seen and act as the father of all, and not just act brazenly to favour a particular segment while oppressing and suppressing other segments.
If he takes the advices of the likes of Col. Umar Dangiwa , I strongly believe all these troubles we are experiencing would have been minimal.

All the zombies and BMC should read thìs post and reconfigure their brains. Reno Omokri who have taken unnecessary envy and decided to attack Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB should also read this post and get some sense for free. If anyone wants to acuse Mazi Nnamdi of jumping bail, the person must also sat the reason he 'jumped' bail. If you want to cause the Igbo of wanting to separate from the rest of the country, you must say the truth as this retired but not tired general habe said it without changing facts. You can't treat me as a second class citizen or a slave in my own supposed country and yet expect me to be happy and clap for you.

The Fulani are doing what all nomads do when they eventually are allowed settlement in a resource filled country.

First they turn the weaker tribes against the more vocal tribes - 1967 genocide on the SE and SS.

Next they isolate the strongest physical tribe - Igbophobia.

They consolidate power and steal resources - Military coups and Abacha (several versions)

Next, they keep the weaker tribes in perpetual servitude - SW BMC, PIB 3%, Online hate and divisive rhetoric against the SE and SS.

Lastly they ensure there is anarchy and fear amongst the weaker tribes to prevent a united front - herdsmen, bandits, ESN, Ghost Pirates in SS, Killing combat aged males in the South, Dangote trailers, Abducting Christian students in the North.

Finally, extract as much resources from the resource filled nation and cater for your Fulani brothers in Arid countries. - Niger rail, Nigeriens working in the military, DSS, NIA, CBN, NNPC , IRS and almost anywhere there is money.

The Fulani will also grow arrogant and brash and attempt to annihilate all Southern tribes.

That's where the end normally comes for them. Just like Anti-Balakas did in DRC against them, Igboho and MNK are signs that the Fulani will never conquer the Southern tribes.

oh plz shut up. there was no genocide in the civil war. also i dont understand why the igbo have this superiority complex . you stated the igbo as the strongest tribe. there is no such thing as the strongest tribe. Also if you know anything about fulani people then you will know they are not arrogant. The fact that we have a president who is mot doing well administratively and happens to be fulani does not mean you should generalize.the fulani men into banditary and kidnaping do not represent all fulanis so plz don stereotype. lots of drug dealer and pedlers of fake drugs are igbo men does that mean that all igbo men are into such crimes?? its not even up 0.01 percent that do such. so plz be truthful to your self.

Nice analysis. However, the bolded part, while it is encouraging, needs to be reviewed or it can increase the laxity of the South and Nigerians generally. How I wished you stopped at mentioning the vulnerabilities of Nigerians before the Fulani. For me, it's the only way to keep the predominantly stupid Nigerians on the red alert.
