Ojukwu, Effiong Betrayed Biafra by ANON333: 7:35pm On Jul 09, 2021
Biafran administrators in 1970 doomed their generation of Biafrans and others that have followed to shame and subjugation to an Arewa north and their allies. This assertion comes at heels of Taliban's successes against a so superior might like the US. After more than two decades of fighting, the US could not uproot them. To be fair, Biafra was much like an eldorado nation in the hearts of the people of the south east as at the time of the conflict and must have even attracted a more adamant allure than what the Taliban gets in Afghanistan. Those in charge of organizing the Biafran resistance botched everything into nothing. By their action of an unconditional surrender to the Nigerian government, they damned the sacrifices of matyrs and victims.

Fozapi aka vasel15, come ooo and hear it as e dey hot.

Ojukwu is the one that betrayed Biafra and not the Ijaws.

This one I havent heard from you or read a thread about the Ijaws and your hate filled thread, hope all is well in your camp.

I have noticed that since your lord was detained, you have gone mute, wither

Surrendering is actually the smartest thing Effiong did...

Biafra geography is very different from that of Afghanistan

Afghanistan is surrounded by mountains which makes it very difficult to be invaded by land even by air is difficult, Russia at the height of it's power couldn't invade them

Biafra geography on the other hand...

I understand the angle that you are coming from but remember we really had major neighbour ally like Pakistan that supports the taliban, women and kids were dying and then it was not like now. That was a war and not guerilla warfare, that is why the USA could not defeat the taliban and even the Russians tried and ran away.

So I think ojukwu was right to end the war when he did and I commend their bravery for defending themselves against the fulanis and standing for what they believed in and we can see what they fought for is still happening till this very minute

Nah the problem was the ijaws and some tribes on the be Niger delta, they knew the creeks, fulanis won't dare cross if there was unity, boko would have finished them off, but it is sad he choose to be q fulani stooge, we would have been happy today and that region would have been like dubai or Qatar and you know what's funny, ijaws say we want their oil but I ask imo and abia have oil, why do we need Ijaw oil? But the fulanis from their desert land are the ones that need their oil because they don't have not us igbos

Igbo never lost the war.
The war was not just a territorial battle,it was to stamp our stand against oppression and intimidation, and we did that for 3good yrs against the Union and her world powers.
Surrendering was a necessity.

I disagree with you saying it was not a territorial battle, it was because we wanted our country we wanted to be left alone, we already had our Currency and every other thing and we still want our territory broken from this forced British marriage till today and we must achieve biafra

Ojukwu and Effiong didn't even end the war early enough, they should have ended it 2 years earlier in 1968 after the fall of PH city.
Ending it earlier would have saved at least 2 million or more lives.

All this you said is correct, but mind you there was a primary reason for the creation of a new Country.
Killing of Igbos, intimidation and trying to bend Igbos on their knees, even before the declaration of Biafra was made.
The killings of Igbos in the North is what that region will continue to pay for, for generations to come even if the Country breaks today.

It was an unconditional surrender. If there was a situation where representatives from both parties to the conflict had to meet and negotiate - the Biafran representatives would have listed conditions before any armistice, and this view of yours would have weight. Maybe there would be a standard seaport in calabar and porthacourt today. I'm just trying to make a point. The war effort on the side of Biafrans was a pure disaster - a waste.
Today there are strong indications that states in the north would be given the rights to control their minerals(like the gold case in zamfara). The north west already have their own constitution(sharia law). This country has been skewed to favour arewa north - there seems to be a constitution for the conquerors and the vanquished. As a matter of fact, Igbos and other groups in the south east are more intimidated than they were before the civil war.
