You will need to register your domain name and get hosting space for it.

Are you talking about hosting your site on your own pc? If thats what you're talking about, then I can tell you for free that its possible but not feasible. To do that, you need a static IP address, Windox XP Pro and Internet Information Service (IIS) enabled. IIS has sever limitations and doesnt make it worthwhile.
