BREAKING: Gunmen kill six soldiers in Enugu Gunmen have been reportedly killed six soldiers in Adani in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State. The PUNCH gathered that the soldiers were killed early hours of Tuesday at the military checkpoint along Nsukka-Adani-Anambra Federal Highway. A reliable security source told our correspondent that the gunmen attacked the location of the soldiers at Iggah/Asaba checkpoint on Tuesday morning. The Nigerian Army has confirmed the attack, noting the hoodlums were being trailed after. Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General, Onyema Nwachukwu, who confirmed the incident in a text message in response to The PUNCH inquires on the incident, accused the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Eastern Security Network of being behind the attack. According to the message titled, ‘Troops repel ESN attack on their location at Adani’, Nwachukwu, however, said that only two soldiers were killed during the attack while the soldiers repelled the hoodlums. He said, “Nigerian Army troops deployed to checkmate the activities of gunmen at Adani community of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, yesterday 13 July 2021, repelled Eastern Security Network gun attack on troops’ location at Iggah/Asaba checkpoint. “Sadly, during the firefight that ensued, two soldiers paid the supreme price. Troops are currently on the trail of the criminals. “We assure the general public of our commitment to provide adequate security in the general area in collaboration with other security agencies. “We also urge members of the public to complement the effort of the security agencies by remaining law-abiding and provide useful information on the fleeing gunmen. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/breaking-gunmen-kill-six-soldiers-in-enugu/%3famp 3 Likes |

For context reports on ground from the Adani indigenes does suggest that ESN have been protecting the Uzo-Uwani community for a while now after flushing out the last hideouts of well armed Fulani herdsmen that terrorized the community for a long time... prior to the intervention of ESN, there had been no single military and police security presence in these communities and the people were at the mercy of killer herdsmen. Then ESN swooped in around March of this year and after some heated battles with the bandits successfully flushed them out from the forest locations where they had camps and terror cells... many Fulani bandits were killed. Now that ESN have been in full control, the Nigerian military now want to cause unrest by attacking these people for defending themselves. 67 Likes 6 Shares |

JUST IN: ESN gunmen kill soldiers in Enugu attack "The Nigerian Army has confirmed the killing of two soldiers during an attack by the Eastern Security Network (ESN) on their location at the Iggah/Asaba checkpoint in the Uzo-Uwani local government area of Enugu." IPOB militia have resume killing security forces in the South East. Two soldiers killed and scores injured. Security forces are unsafe in the South East as they can only move in a large convoy. As a Soldier or policeman you don't dare wear uniform in public there. We should remember that the IPOB sessesionist agitators were peaceful until the genocidal criminal Buhari sent former Nigerian army chief Buratai to slaughter hundreds of them. #ElbinawiTweets 3 Likes 1 Share |

Licensed Fulani terrorists in uniforms have started raising the dust in the East again. They're trying all their possible best to make d SE look like the NE...but they will continue to fail. Now that they have arrested Nnamdi Kanu, I wonder whether they'd blame Igboho. Bl0ody criminals. 2 Likes |
