R chrisifeanyi:The Apc senators want the electronic voting to be assessed by NCC & approved by the National Assembly before it can be transmitted electronically but PDP want it to be sorely handled by INEC , without the interference from the NCC nor the NA. For fear that the result may be compromised. 1 Like |

Penguin2: Don't rejoice yet oh.... There's a caveat ....that NCC must agree that there's national coverage.... And we all know how this will play out. |

eduj:Ur comment seems like u don't even understand the whole bill. The only difference between the former system and the current bill is the mode of transmission. This is why our education system has failed, u graduate from University with paper qualifications and empty head. All the noise u made make no sense, since the time card reader is deployed the only argument is the the mode of transmission of results which is now passed into law, all the noise u made are empty and indifferent from the past. Electronic voting has more threats to the next election than good, all ur cheers will turn tears because this APC will surprise ur hope to doom. Maurice Iwu was INEC Chairman but didn't bring reasonable idea to change the system to good but our son changed it to good, the same senate u call rubber stamp passed the bill under the committee of our son Kabiru Gaya and u still think if we don't like the bill it will go through despite the adequate quorum we have? Why the empty blame, why stereotyping the whole group of people for the sin of one or two persons? Mtcheww... |

Coronabirus: you're the one who didn't understand my writeup. Stop being dense and ask someone that can actually read to explain my writeup to you. you just accused me of a lot of things I didn't even mention. 1)I didn't call the senate a rubber stamp 2) didn't mention the INEC chairman talk more of his ethnicity 3) I didn't stereotype any tribe. so please retract your accusations. You speak of paper certs but empty headed graduates- that just describes you and your argument. The senate have relatively approved transmission of results through electronic means (emphasis on relative) , but anyone in the electoral system can tell you that this bill is a watered down version of what was clamoured for. the bill is ambiguous at best ,the role of the SCR isn't absolute - manual verification of voters is still allowed (that's the genesis of electoral padding). Meanwhile, the succeeded in increasing the legal amount spent on presidential campaigns from 1-5 billion and state government campaigns from 2m- 1 billion. Nothing basically has changed ----period |
