1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. I John 5vv7 says there are three that bear record in heaven these three agree in one. What is the trinity? The trinity or Tri-unity is the existence of God in three persons or individuals or three persons in one God. THE GOD FATHER The First person of the Godhead is the Father, -He is the authority of God, He plans and ordains things that are to be fulfilled, -He planned and ordained the creation, everything was design and given a purpose by him. - Those things the father purpose and designed exist in the mind of God. -He was the one that ordained salvation -He ordained Jesus to be the source of salvation -He ordained the cross of Jesus to be the way salvation would be obtained - He witnessed for Jesus empowering Jesus to do mighty works. -Every single action to save man was planned and ordained by the father. - He chooses those to be saved, Jesus said no man can come to him except the father lead him to Jesus. -The father ordained all things to glorify Jesus THE WORD/ THE SON OF GOD -He is the Amen, the agreement/witness to what have being ordained. -He is the Son of God by God's ordination, - He as the Word brings out what is in God's mind so that it can have external reality outside God -He fulfills God's plan of salvation, fulfilling all that the father has ordained concerning him. - Jesus is the saviour, redeemer,healer, righteousness and Joy to all who place their faith in him because the father ordained him so. - Jesus will make sure that none of those the father has given to him would be lost. -He Honored the father with his life, ministry teachings and death. -He will subject all things back to The father with his 1000 years reign on earth. The Holy Spirit - He is the power of God. - He gives power to whatever God speaks to be fulfilled - in The book of Genesis the holy spirit was moving over the surface of the deep, whatever God says came to pass because the holy spirit was active. I believe the person speaking out things was the word so whatever he said comes to pass because the holy spirit was active. Also I believe the person who inspected what was created and pass a remark of Good on it was the Father. I believe he passed that remark because what was done corresponded with what he has designed. - The holy spirit empowered Jesus to fulfill the work of Salvation. Jesus was to fulfill the work of salvation solely on his humanity and also depend on divine help from the holy spirit. - The Holy spirit is called the spirit of the father because he reveals the will of the father to the believers. - He is called the spirit of the Son/christ because he helps the believer to develop the character of christ. - Just as he empowered Jesus during his earthly life the holy Spirit empowers the christian who depend on Jesus. - The Holy spirit only teaches what belongs to Jesus, He witnessed for Christ through signs and wonders. -The holy spirit teaches and protects the Christian and is their seal making sure their salvation is sealed. - The holy spirit prepare the Christian to receive Christ at his coming in a holy and blameless state. -The holy spirit convicts sinners of their sin and leads men to recieve the gospel. -The Holy spirit create regeneration in those who recieve christ, in other words the holy spirit makes one to be born of God. -The holy spirit works with the word of God to generate faith. Jesus said except a man is born by water and by the spirit he cannot see the kingdom of God. The water is the word of God, the word and the spirit is what causes regeneration. There are much things concerning the holy spirit but I would stop here. Shallom |

jom28gy:office cannot talk. God said "let us create man in our image" God was not talking to office. "They" "He" are personal pronouns used to describe persons not offices. Same error with Jehovah witness who believe the holy spirit is not a person but mere force even when the holy spirit was called an "He". |

Betscoreodds:Yea Jesus said in John chapter 17 vs 3 that eternal life is to know the father and he Jesus. Inother words any man who does not have a relationship with the father and son is not saved, knowing the trinity is a salvation experience. 1 Like |

1 John 5:7 according to biblical scholars is a fabrication that was added later on in the bible. Newer biblical translations have removed it. And the trinity is not "three persons in one God"–this is heresy according to the church. Rather it is three Gods(not gods) in one God...Gibberish right  Most Christians don't actually know what the Trinity is and believe in one heretical version of it or another. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

BeLookingIDIOT: Tell us just (5) names of Biblical scholars who say that verse is a fabrication and i'll list more than 10 Biblical scholars who accepted that verse as authentic as other verses in the scripture. The lies against that verse has been exposed long time, evidence abound that the verse is well known by early christians like Cyprian as early as 200 DC which is just few years after the death of Apostle John. And the trinity is not "three persons in one God"–this is heresy according to the church. Rather it is three Gods(not gods) in one God...Gibberish right Provide your source on this Most Christians don't actually know what the Trinity is and believe in one heretical version of it or another. Holy spirit has MIND (I challenge you to tell us non living things that said to have mind in the scripture) 2. Holy spirit has will which even the same with the Father and Jesus Christ 3. Holy spirit is an ADVOCATE just as Jesus is also an advocate (show us where non living things said to be an advocate in the scripture) 4. Janosky:If "no one" is specific like you said then no one knows the hour of Christ coming is also specific It is specific to revealed persons which are Angels, Jesus, God the father and men it does not include the holy spirit because the personhood of the holy spirit was not yet revealed because he has not be poured out. |

Hence, holy Spirit is spoken of as Advocate Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Compare Luke 4:14. Your deity is led by another person,So your deity is no longer God Almighty? "Jesus full of holy spirit, So how many persons is Jesus your deity? Holy spirit is always sent forth for a given purpose,has no will of it's own. Is the finger of God a person? Is the eyes/ears of God a person? |
