I would've left south Africa in 2019 but when I googled visa requirements for a nigerian passport holder to Greece I almost cried at the requirements. Then I googled the requirements for a south African passport holder to the same Greece and what they need is valid passport and bank statement.
That when I realised that traveling will be easier for me with a south African passport. I will become a citizen next year.

Which country will open their borders to over 200million population? Why is China , India, Indonesia ,Brazil etc are not part of the top countries?

Few years ago Nigeria passport is visa free to almost all Caribbean island and some South America but now? Nobody want Nigerians
Previous had a S/Leone passport and immigrations don’t stress me in any country and I transit in Lisbon without Visa while I dey always dey see the way same Immigration officers dey deny, harassed and embarrassed Nigeria passport holders .

Senegal passport get level pass Nigeria passport.
Hold Nigeria passport and be stopped, searched and harassed by immigration officers, policemen, Customs and cleaners at the airport of each country you pass.
A South Africa citizen don’t need a student visa to travel to Ireland while the so called giant of Africa can’t even get a visa date in peace.

In the next 5 years Nigeria passport no go fit even enter Lagos to Abuja and Nigerians go need visa to enter Benin Rep

Libya of Gadaffi used to be one of the best passport in Africa.

Libya passport is visa free to all South America, Malta and a lot of Europeans countries.

The standing of a passport is not only reliant on the activities the countries citizens abroad. There are more Nigerians gainfully employed and engaged in other countries contributing to the societies they live in, living lawfully and paying their taxes. If they were to carry out this ranking based on that, our passport would definitely sit much higher. But the nation’s performance both domestically and internationally reflects on the decision of foreign countries to grant her citizens visa free entry which ultimately is the yardstick for this ranking.

Try and understand issues properly before making comments in order to avoid saying things based on your emotions and limited knowledge.

To some it’s all about making money, I see them as people who only think about now but not about the future. Leaving this shithole isn’t about money, it’s about giving your kids/unborn kids a nationality of a better country, where they can become whoever they want to be without knowing anybody. Going through hell to get a job after NYSC

Not everyone fancy traveling out of Nigeria, but don’t discourage others with that nonsense crap “you can make money in Nigeria”

But some mumu will be discouraging people saying you can make money, as if everything is about money. Your grandchildren will curse you even in your grave if they know you have the means to give them a saner country nationality but you refuse to do so because of your selfish act.

Even politicians are taking this path, making sure their wards have a sane country nationality, but continue to fool yourself by that crap “you can make money in Nigeria” you’d be begging to get a visa for vacation with all the money you’ve got

Europeans travel more than anyone in the world especially before the pandemic. Flights within Europe are cheap and competitive if you book on time. When I was a student in the UK, i knew quite a few EU students who used to travel to their own countries every weekend. How many Nigerian students can afford to do that? Only the rich kids could afford it.
