The best passports in West Africa are just The Gambian and Benin republic passports that allows you visit some top Asian countries and a whole lot of Caribbeans countries.

If you're just sitting around in Nigeria, and comfortable cos you're making what could be described as "enough money" by Nigerian standards without looking for a better passport that will benefit you and your family, by the time you would realize your mistakes, you'd have already put your own generation into the same mess your own father could have avoided if only he had birthed you in the UK in the 80's when they welcomed all commonwealth countries into their territory visa free, or whatever western country he desired.

The strength of the passport helps and for a country to have a strong passport, she must have attained some sort of wealth thereby making her citizens rich/middle class. Yet again, using the Maslow Hierarchy of Need, survival comes first and statistically, most black dominated countries are poor thereby making black people to be the poorest globally of all races. Same concerns in the higher education industry as most foreign students these days are Chinese (it takes rich people to effortlessly pay tuition fees of >$£30, 000). Another example was when Saudi Arabia revamped her visa rules, she listed China who has tortured more Muslims yet did not include a SINGLE African country including Nigeria which has the highest population of Muslims in Sub-Saharan Africa. In summary, for there to be more black people not necessarily less white people (the advent of Chinese travellers hasn't stopped whites from travelling) travelling, black people have to be rich. When that happens, our passports would be strong, we would achieve the highest point of Maslow's rank and then travel.

Few years ago Nigeria passport is visa free to almost all Caribbean island and some South America but now? Nobody want Nigerians
Previous had a S/Leone passport and immigrations don’t stress me in any country and I transit in Lisbon without Visa while I dey always dey see the way same Immigration officers dey deny, harassed and embarrassed Nigeria passport holders .

Look at the countries that are at the bottom, Somalia, Congo, South Sudan, Eritrea, Congo and Libya. They all have a few things in common with Nigeria and that is irresponsible Leadership, Poverty and Retrogression, Terrorism and lack of respect for Human Rights.
