Correct, but better this way... As a kid growing up among my family members, I loved reading a lot. 'amongst' is getting outdated especially in American usage. You can say 'among my family' but it's more grammatically precise to use the phrase, 'family members'. It all depends on what you are writing though. If you are writing a fiction, it may be more appropriate to use 'family'. But, if you are writing a formal report, 'family members' may be more suitable. 1 Like |
