Nigerian government will buckle under the pressure bcoz MNK is a British citizen. UK & US are not in the habit of leaving their own behind.

UK will mount pressure on Nigeria coz civil societies in the UK especially are watching how the UK handles Kanu's case. Failure to act will impact/ unsettle public opinion at home.

UK has a lot to lose. They wont dare. Kanu is a Nigerian by birth and British by naturalisation. Consular assistance means nothing, it is just to ensure he has a fair hearing. Nigeria is a sovereign state with lot of leverages on UK.

Where Kanu was born has no bearing on the status quo - MNK is a British citizen & that's the reason UK is interested in his case.
