On May 5th, 2011 the 4th edition of the Corporation’s 2010/2011 Annual Film Lecture series was held at the cinema hall 4 at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos. The Nollywood movie Ije – The Journey which was produced and directed by Chineze Anyaene and distributed by the Silverbird Distribution Company won the Highest Box Office (Gross) Nigerian Movie and Best Distributors Awards (Nigerian Movies) 2010. IJE has won in total 14 awards since its release in the cinemas in July 30th, 2010 when the movie released; national and international.
