An Account Officer, or Account Supervisors, takes care of the financial bookkeeping and records of an organization. Their duties include recording transactions, payments and expenses and processing invoices. They also send out bills and invoices, follow up on overdue payments and ensure that a company’s invoices and payments match up correctly by cross-checking the original document to the company’s record. Account Officers work with other professionals in the accounting department like Bookkeepers and Account Clerks to make sure the company’s finances are accurately recorded.


Qualifications for Account Officer

Familiarity with productivity tools, including Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using accounting software, such as Quickbooks and Quicken
Strong organizational skills
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Quick to collaborate and coordinate with team members when necessary
Prior experience working with financial accounts
Strong math and critical reasoning skills

Account Skills and Qualifications
BSc in accounting or a Related Field, Knowledge of Computers and Networks, Written and Verbal Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Attention to Detail, Ability to Work Under Pressure, Ability to Meet Goals, Patience.
