Continue to type rubbish while the headquarters of NNPC has been in Kaduna for decades.
You also kept yapping while oil pipelines were linked from your bight of Biafra to the North.
You are still sleeping but when you wake up, think harder and realize that Igbos have never been your problem at all.
Environmental issues have been ravaging your area and you are here talking about Igbos and Biafra after listening to traitor Asari.
Even when great Ken Saro brought up these issues, he was executed by who, was it Igbo people or Biafran's?

Continue to chase rats while your house is on fire. This is the same game you people played with abandon property, but look at where Igbos are today. cheesy cheesy lipsrsealed undecided

Nnpc headquarter is in Abuja not Kaduna.

No wonder Igbos will organize themselves and be discussing rubbish full of ignorance.

It was named because it's located on the so-called "Bight of Benin". It wasn't named after the Benin empire, end of. But then, this is social media where people hold on tenaciously to the erroneous information they disseminate.

I know it was named after the Bight, which itself was named after the kingdom that once thrived and traded along that coast.

Conclusion is that the name Benin Republic owes its name to the Benin Kingdom.

All these divide and rule tactics are all for selfish reasons. The defunct Biafran nation had an Igbo President from Anambra state (present day South East) and Obong Philip Effiong as Vice President, from Akwa Ibom state (Present day south south) . The so called " IGBO COUP" that led to the counter coup and ultimately the declaration of biafra was led by Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu, an Anioma man from present day Delta state in South South region. He wasn't even from the south east but was conveniently labelled an IGBO MAN. But the same people will tell you that Igbos only have five states, Igbos are landlocked bla bla bla.
Ojukwu made it clear in his numerous memos that the coup was hatched and nurtured by Ifeajuna a native of Onitsha in present day Anambra State, South East.
Secondly, how logical is it that Nzeogwu who was thousands of miles away in Kaduna was the architect and leader of a coup plot hatched and wholly nurtured in Lagos?

Well it is OK to borrow a name from a neighbouring tribe.

Gold Coast borrowed the Ghana name from the defunct Ghana empire in West Africa that was not anywhere near the territorial geography of modern Ghana.

Dahomey borrowed the Benin name from the defunct Benin empire in West Africa that is currently within Nigeria. So Dahomey became Benin Republic.

So I see nothing wrong that an Ijaw will provide the Igbos the name to call their Igboland, from the now defunct coastal description called Bight of Biafra.

Biafra as a name belongs to Ijaw. Ask all these Igbos shouting biafra the meaning of it they don't know just that Their fugitive leader told them to be calling biafra.

How can I be part of what I doesn't know the meaning and something that has links to Ijaw people ( James Manager comes to mind)...A name with no single meaning in Igbo language.

On a serious note, making Biafra an Igbo matter was a wrong move. Infact, it wont be bad if an ijaw man or woman leads Biafra. When u make Biafra an Igbo event alone, u are pushing away those who are also part of the Biafra with Ojukwu. Remember, the vice in command to Ojukwu was someone from Ibibio. There were other major minor tribes in Biafra. Igbos were just major tribe with highest population. That does not make Biafra an Igbo stuff. Biafra was actually something that belonged to Igbos and other tribes in the old eastern region. The mistake made by those who are struggling for Biafra was making it solely an Igbo affair. Only Igbos cant win this struggle.

How many of this day ijaws are interested in this day biafra....?

This pig is right, the Bight of Biafra (officially called the Bight of Bonny, is a bight off the West African coast, in the easternmost part of the Gulf of Guinea. It was where slave traders ship slaves to Europe.
Ojukwu in his greed to have the oil included ijaw lands to the igbo nation but he was betrayed by Ken saro wiwa and the ijaw kingsmen who did not want to be second class citizens.
Ojukwu chose the name Biafra to please the ijaws.
My advise for the igbos is to accept their five states and move on. The oil in Nigeria is a curse. the world is moving towards clean energy and the igbos are enterprising.

why will you say ken sar-wiwa betrayed ojukwu? Rather it was pay back time for ojukwu in 1967 . the ijaw and Benin fought against Biafra because, ijaw tribe was the first ethnic group to fight for breakup of Nigeria, lead by Isaac Adaka Boro, but Igbo( ojukwu and ironsi) people stop him from achieving their aim.

I dont know what you are trying to prove, but all igbo states are actually land locked.

From time, the tribes that have interfaced with the Atlantic Ocean in Nigeria are clearly known. The Ijaws have always had a piece of the Atlantic ocean shores. The part of the Atlantic adjacent to Ijaw lands is what was call Bright of Biafra. You can check old maps before even Nigeria was drawn.

You're just forming over sabi that's your problem. The name Benin belongs to the defunct Kingdom of Benin in present day Nigeria. There was a case of Greece Vs Macedonia. Go and read about it and stop displaying oversabi here.

Dahomey changed their country name to Benin after the bight of Benin. The Bight of Benin in the Gulf of Guniea was named after the Kingdom of Benin.

For your information, Dahomey sent diplomatic envoys to the Oba of Benin when she wanted to formally change her country's name.

There is a case of Greece vs Macedonia. Greece told the former Yugoslavia country that she has no right to use the name Macedonia. The issue was in the European Court and Macedonia had to change her name recently to North Macedonia or something else can't remember.

That fool is a slimy Fulani impostor! His aim on this forum is to try and isolate Igbos and the bid for secession into 'just your 5 south-east states'!

Unity of purpose between Ndigbo of south-east and south-south freaks him out, and the coming together of all ethnicities in the area formally known as Eastern Region sends him into a complete meltdown! shocked

Lemme see if i got you right. You're saying the Ijaw and Benin reason for siding with 'one Nigeria' against Biafra was to get back at 'Igbo people' for stopping Adaka Boro breaking up Nigeria? So basically, you're saying the Ijaw saw the need for the disintegration of Nigeria, but since they wanted to get their pound of flesh, they sided with 'one Nigeria' against Biafra?

Now fast-foward to today, care to tell me how happy the Ijaw are with the Nigerian project? Have they been vindicated, or was it actually the Igbo who read and understood the handwriting on the wall properly?

This Adaka Boros' Niger-Delta Republic....can you tell us its boundaries; the capital; and who were the other ethnicities/personalities from the then Eastern Region that signed up for it?

I've come to appreciate that for Ndigbo to progress and thrive in any new country.....the IJAW must not be a part of it! They act too insecure, suspicious, envious, emotional and have a unhealthy crabs-in-a-barrel mentality!
