U think PDP didn't forsee this confusion that will envelope APC, it was PDP that included the illegality of Buni led APC caretaker committee in the suit against Governor Akeredolu.
PDP asked the Supreme court to declare Buni Committee illegal and all actions taken by it null and void, and the Supreme court thus declared the Buni Committee illegal and unrecognized
PDP has it's own game plan ahead of 2023,

Since Buni was not joined as Respondent, he is denied fairing hence his actions on the matter can not be used to make conclusion.
That is the technicality used to safe Akeredolu.

You are absolutely correct. In as much as APC was a party to the suit, it covered the office of the chairman. Cos the chairman is the alter-ego of the party. And the issue was that the officeholder was not fit to hold that office pursuant to Section 183 of the Constitution. Again, perhaps it was the way the petitioner framed his issues for determination and prayers. If he specifically mentioned the Governor, then He deserves to be put on notice.

It was indeed an olive branch. I was apprehensive Akeredolu will be removed from office. But that did not happen. It was a close call 4-3.

Governors can sue and be sued if the subject of claims was carried out by them in their official capacity or if they are a nominal Party in the case.

They are not compelled, except in election cases, to enter appearances.
