Federal Character allows for equal representation of every party. But I believe CAN sees it from the angle of Christian-Muslim-Christian-Muslim-Christian(next).

Inasmuch as competence and qualification remain the basic requirements to sit in a political office, they can be sourced from the different lines present in Nigeria, be it zone, ethnicity or religion.

And you don't make any sense, because Federal Character doesn't have religion as its components. You may want to read what Nigeria penned to paper on federal Character, and also read up on elections. You will learn candidates aren't installed according to the sense you think he is making

How did this guy become a prof? One would expect a professor to be cerebral enough to know that political performance is not a function of religious leanings. To expose how far from objective his submission is, the low life white beard bastard decided to start counting from Nigeria's return to civil rule in 1999, overlooking the many years of misrule by despotic Muslim military rulers. Of the 29 years of military rule in Nigeria, Christians were only in power for 12 and half years. How balanced is that equation. Importantly however, I fail to see how religious affiliations translate to effective and productive leadership.

I'm just glad that there's a Muslim organization to counter the Criminal Association of Nigeria -CAN. Muslims in Nigeria have been to docile with these criminals in the CAN, they have been known to ask for all sorts of rubbish religious fanatical trash.
