You walk into your local gym for the first time and see a bewildering maze of machinery that you don’t have a clue how to use. Intimidating, yes it can be. Don’t give up though. Instead, choose a rowing machine.

That’s right. While you don’t have to use the best rowing machine out there, if you’re looking for the ideal machine to start your exercise routine on, that’s your best option. At first glance you might think that advice is crazy, but a rowing machine is exactly what you need and here’s why:

1. Burn Calories Effectively and Efficiently

With a rowing machine you have the ability to burn up as many as 400 or 500 calories an hour. This happens because the machine does double duty by providing both strength and cardiovascular training. This is truly a fantastic way to eliminate calories quickly, but you have to stick with it and to put in the necessary effort just like with anything else.
