Falana Writes AGF, Demands Prosecution Of ‘Arrested’ 400 Sponsors Of Terrorism by Parizz: 4:59pm On Aug 03, 2021
Human Rights lawyer, Mr Femi Falana, SAN has demanded for prosecution of about 400 sponsors of terrorism reported to have been arrested by the federal government some months ago.

In a Freedom of Information, FoI, requested dated August 3, 2021 and forwarded to the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami, SAN, Falana is also demanding for information on the charges which ought to have filed against the arrested terrorism sponsors.

The letter reads: “On May 4 2021, it was widely reported widely by the media that the Federal Government had concluded arrangement to prosecute about 400 alleged sponsors and financiers of terrorism in Nigeria.

“In the said publication, your office assured the nation that the suspects would be arraigned after the industrial action embarked upon by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN).

In view of the attacks being unleashed on law abiding citizens by groups surgents in several parts of the country, we strongly commend the move by the Federal Government to prosecute the suspects who were reported to have been arrested in a nationwide operation a few months ago.

“We, however, request that our law firm be furnished with information with respect to when criminal charges were filed against the suspects since the strike by JUSUN has since been called off.

“Kindly ensure that we are furnished with the requested information within 7 days of the receipt of this letter in accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, 2011.”

If the lists are made of southerners, I am 100% sure DSS would have made arrest by now, but because the lists are made of their folks, they are trying to sweep it under the carpet.

Falana has his faults but he should have been AGF. Or someone like him. The fact Buhari went with a character like Malami was the first clue Buhari is not who some of us thought he was.

Malami is always chasing a sectional agenda that shows his allegiance is to his benefactors and paymasters and not to Nigerians or even his office.

Malami should respond formally to Falana because we need to be asking questions and getting answers
about the prosecution of arrested Northern bandits and terrorists.

Oju ti la..

Hausa/Fulanis never get charged or prosecuted for crimes they commit, instead they cover the case up and it ends there. We demand equity in criminal justice else let everyone go their separate ways.

For how long will this nonsense continue? In South, you arrest people, parade them before investigation or court hearings, detain them illegally for months and do all sort but Northerners commit crimes and the next day, they are released by 'order from above'.

They must publish the list of Northerners sponsoring terrorism in the country so the whole world can see their faces and blacklist them. If not, everyone will believe US reports of state sponsored terrorism in Nigeria. How did we get here as a nation for crying out loud.

Malami will not prosecute terrorism sponsors.

How do you expect him to prosecute sponsors of northern business? More like investors in the enterprise.

He’s more interested in kidnapping Kanu from wherever, and labeling Igboho a terrorist for organizing rallies.

But I don’t blame him. I blame the ever willing zombies who defend their atrocities.

The arrested sponsors of terrorism are northerners, they have been freed, the only ones in jail are those arrested in Dubai

why are you southerners hell bent on hypocracies? Just because a Northerner is president you've gat the perfect excuse of blaming everyone in the north for your woes and downfall. In your opinion, those arrested are no longer passerby who went to buy drugs for their mom, bit if it were esn arrested, they'll demand the prosecution and arrest.
Keep playing the victim card, at this junction it's glazingly Clare to everyone your evil motive, keep shielding crimes and blame others for your woes, the north did same with bokoharam today its now a treat to everyone including the elites. until you get a taste of your own medicine you'll never be open to proper reasoning and I pray nepotism kills you even when you still realize the damage of your useless thinking.
Rubbish!!
