I am not sure those behind the Buni led caretaker committee want to go through the process you listed above. The BOT was not constituted for a reason since 2013 when the party was formed. Buni has never called for the National caucus meeting since he was appointed for a reason.

I am not sure the governors behind Buni will want to go that far. The BOT will likely be chaired by a former national chairman of the party who may not be amenable to the governors. The national caucus is also too expanded for comfort. Tinubu and other stakeholders outside the control of the governors will attend the national caucus meeting so i don't think they will want to go there.

The difference is in a name, because NEC is the Principal Executive body of the Party.

The problem is the man who is National Chairman.
NEC empowers the National Chair, National Sec & others, so I don't think that's really the problem. NEC is still active. However, any decision of NEC meeting with Buni as Chair is null and void.

Again, this CECPC shouldn't have exceeded 6 months, Section 223 handled that.

The Governors, in their own desperation, were breaking their Party's law with impunity like most of them do in their own states.

APC may soon realise that it's better to have Oshiomhole back and get him to resign than sacking him with this illegal contraption they called Caretaker Committee now being poopoohed by the SC.

I am still trying to imagine why and how a governor just sworn in for a second term and yet to even complete one year into his second tenure started gunning for Presidency in 2019!

All the APC ward congress done last Saturday is likely going to be a nullity.
