As if Buhari and his BMC care. Buhari can borrow from China to offset the loss: almajiri economic planning.

This is an exaggeration, if not outright lies. What businesses are Nigerians really doing on Twitter?
The only one I can think of is advertising of goods.

Moreover Nigerians are more active on Facebook far more than they on Twitter.

If twitter is banned is Facebook banned? It's Instagram banned?

There are a lot of half truths and lies on the internet. We should be careful of the kind of news we read.

Nigerians may have lost 150 billion? That's just laughable.
It not comprehension issues, u didn't read it. Try n read the news so that u would know how that amount got lost..

Before you give key positions to someone , first find out what the person loves doing....

Buhari is a lover of cattles,....he has his cattle ranch and visits them regularly

Buhari couldn't give the country his SSCE certificate up till now which means he didn't finish Secondary school and has no knowledge about economy of a country....

It is not rocket science or sentimental to expect Buhari to do wonders for the country, he could have jailed some corrupt politicians regarding his military counts but Democracy remains Democracy , out of frustration , he had to start disobeying court orders inorder to achieve some interests...

Nobody plants corns and expect to harvest bananas....
Even employing quality economists won't help the country because the head has no knowledge of economics....and can't say when who he employed are working or not.

So banning of Twitter was not rocket science too.
Nobody amongst them could help check what would happen if Twitter is banned since they know nothing.

This is fake news and I am quite disappointed that Punch carried it. The website is not working. It is static. If you put Facebook in the filter, it will give you the same figure. Put WhatsApp and the same figure will come out. It is quite bad that Nigerians get fed news that aren't authentic and they never even cross-check by themselves.

The metric used for the data is not even a good one. Some 2017-static data measurement.

Twitter has learnt it's lesson, blocking it for too long, makes no sense. Guidelines is fine, we need money to circulate in our society, a lot of influencers bring in foreign currency into our economy via Twitter, government must wake up and stop sleeping on itself.

Twitter is not even bothered with their ban. Nigerians are still using their services with VPN, they are still making cool money. Last I checked their share price was on an upward swing. Buhari true true, no get sense, No wonder Twitter located their regional quarters in Accra.

Don't mind fools that feel twitter is bothered a bit by the ban. Twitter shares dey increase by the minute, so much so that an investment with twitter is so much a wise investment even at this time than saving in this country's useless currency.

Its affecting everybody, a friend of mine who runs a viewing centre find it difficult to show Chelsea vs Tottenham match just because with VPN you can't connect your smart TV with cast,

On sunday during arsenal vs Chelsea match we bought the right on 5th stand but after collecting 100 naira and paying up to 5k with fuel it didn't worth it so we decided to view it through hesgoal or any free stream but at first half dunk showed and went off in half time so i discovered twitter site playing it but you can connect with VPN and you can't connect WiFi while VPN is on so therefore we can't connect the cast on the TV

Na so we lost money yesterday......
You don't need vpn to use Arsenal TV or Chelsea TV.

You think twitter no get foresight as dem carry their headquarters for Africa go Ghana? Make Una wise up. Naija's backwardness no dey affect the outside community

Nigeria didn't lose anything. Twitter wants to use VPN influencers to blackmail the government.

Twitter is a private company. Let them come and register in Nigeria

No amount of propaganda Twitter can never be bigger than our national interests and security. It should remain banned and do the needful like they did in other countries if they want to continue operating in Nigeria

Hahaha. Good thing you acknowledge Nigerians are suffering.

So in the last 5years we have been suffering a sinking currency, inflation, rising insecurity, hunger, poverty, rise in price of petrol while they keep removing subsidy every year. So are these part of the suffering before enjoyment also?
