jontim:Ur second paragraph is confusing but let me guess u are still talking of the authenticity and in that case, u were not getting something based on ur previous comment where u attributed the amount lost as effects on advertisement and promos on Twitter whereas the mother write up actually made it clear that such amount got lost due to the high expense of the technology needed to restrict Nigerians from using Twitter n not on business. No fighting, I like anybody wey correct me especially without provocations l guess u do same |

morikee: Twitter's worldwide revenue breakdown by geographical area shows that US and Japan accounts for about 70% of revenue leaving the other 30% to "other world". Even at that, Nigeria did not make it to the top 20 of other world. Given our economy and exchange rate, I don't think revenue from Nigeria makes any meaningful impact, hence why no significant move from Twitter. Don't overestimate our relevance when it comes to this matter. |

Gillydee:this govt is just stupid in everything. Mark my word this ban will impact on Apc so much that they will struggle to get people to launder the image of their presidential candidate during election, when this ban is lifted. |

joyandfaith:Stop exposing your level of exposure. Nigeria is key to any global economically or politically interested body. Please come out of your room and see the world. Mentioned 3 globally recognized bodies that has no interest or presence in Nigeria. |

alizma:the only smart post on the topic. Nigerians generally use more emotion than brain. Twitter is losing more. Nigerians still have access to twitter to advertise their small scale stuff from the hashtags. but all the companies from Nigeria that pay twitter to advertise their products have all stopped using Twitter. E.g MTN Airtel Glo jumia and all multi national coperations who advertise heavily on twitter have all stopped using Twitter all together to advertise or reach out to customers. Those are the people that twitter make their money from. That's why twitter has resulted to propaganda articles like this to put pressure on the government instead of doing the right thing by begging. |

alizma: Lmao.. Did you say Nigeria is key to any global economically or politically interested body? With it's highest poverty rate stricken economy? What they are interested in is exploiting you because of the population not that they value you... Meanwhile, they have these interest, yet it's either they're closing shop or porting over to Ghana our next door neighbor. Continue okay. 1 Like |

angelfallz: It's very possible, if not more. Don't trivialize the little sales/business transactions that happen here and there via the social media including Twitter. If you were experienced you would understand better, but it sounds a lot like you are not. I can assure you that more sales happen on Twitter and Instagram than on Facebook. You can't sit somewhere and assume what ever your obvious little mind can comprehend must be fact. There's a lot happening that you clearly know nothing of I assure you. |

Basher8583: FG should be concerned really. This is about reducing unemployment and improved social welfare for the people. They have to survive before paying tax. Sometimes the overall impact of such on households and the economy outweighs fiscal considerations. If it's about registration and tax of twitter, they can find a way around it. |

clarocuzioo:Lai Mohammed, not buhari. Everyone should blame him not the president. He's the one that enforced it. I always go back to that video and there's something I noticed. The way he stormed in and went straight to talk about the Twitter thing. I've never seen them swing into action that fast when there are cases of killings by police and Fulani herdsmen. Nigeria isn't worth dying for. |

150 billion? No, it is not triviality. You that is experienced what understanding do you have? Sales of of what, that would amount to 150 billion lost between June and July. I am not counting august because August just started. Keep believing the lies you are fed. Emmerlee: |
