The FCT Primary Health Care and Health and Human Service Secretariat is holding a one day sensitization seminar to breastfeeding mothers representing the six area councils in FCT with the minister of state for health FCT.

The first 1,000 days in a baby's life is very important and making sure the baby breastfeeds within the first hour of birth and making sure the baby takes zero water for the first six months after birth.

Parents should be responsible and giving their children a good foundation by giving the child only Breastreast Milk for at least the first 6 months of their existence. These cannot be over emphasized as it has been proven that children who go through exclusive breastfeeding are always healthy.
