Jigga SARS is a unit in the police eg IRT. Dss is an autonomous agency on its own which reports directly to the president and overseen by the National security adviser. every country has an intelligence unit to counter attacks within the country. There is no way it can be disbanded egbon

Are they bigger than Nigeria Not saying they should be disbanded but right changes and professionalism should be enforced in their operation so that they can stop been used as a puppet by the politicians

Stupid opinion. DSS has never arrested any Boko Haram member or Fulani terrorist or the so-called Bandits! None!

The main "job" of the DSS (terror agency) is to harrass and arrest people for the corrupt President and his allies!

This is a very disgusting read. There is no denying that the DSS is a lapdog and the government's oppressive tool. However, seeing that a pro-Nigerian group convener wrote this tells you everything you need to know about how a draconian arm of the government is desperate to look good before the public.

If the writer cites Boko Haram, why is the DSS mute on Miyetti Allah and Fulani Herdsmen? Not a single arrest has ever been made yet these folks boldly threaten sitting governors that there won't be peace in their states for opposing open grazing.

I believe in being wicked and owning up. The DSS shouldn't pretend to be a friend of the masses. It is not. So many Nigerians have been treated unjustly by the DSS and all it took was for one nonsense well placed individual to call and order them around. We know the DSS is a lap dog like the EFCC and it is highly partisan. This sponsored post to make the DSS look clean tells of their desperation.

A Nigeria without an ethnic jingoist and a so-called secret service waiting to do his bidding is what the country needs. The DSS is pro-government. Period.

Don't mind that biological disaster!

DSS my arse!

Correct. The fool that wrote the article called them "professional". Professional my foot.

How does any professional outfit anywhere in the world show up at someone's home at 1am and start shooting at cars, killing two unarmed citizens, taking their bodies with them, locking up 12 others for around a month without any charge against them when the constitution says otherwise?

Professional organizations don't deprive inmates access to their lawyers, that's a no no in any sane country. Nigeria is insane, and led by insane people that's why they can do that. Professional organizations don't feed inmates "engine oil" and still deprive them medical attention. Professional organizations don't show up in court with no idea of how many people they arrested versus presented in court. How can you arraign 12 people, lying that they were in a shootout with you and suddenly say it's only 3 people as if everyone watching your lies are blind and dumb?

Professional organizations dont go to people homes, remove their CCTV cameras and all evidences and plant guns and ammunition in their homes, expecting to apply "word of mouth" as evidence knowing fully well nobody believes them and their lies anymore and they will be asked for the CCTV evidence they stole.

Professional organizations don't steal from their suspects and only declare change while keeping the rest to themselves. Possible video evidence also stolen by them? Where in the world is that done?

I really wish the next administration comes and scrutinize each of their operations because many of them including their errand boys don't deserve a space in any society from their misuse of power.
if you people have a single idea of what the CIA is capable of doing. Some of their attrocities are do bad they don't allow it in USA soil. Guantanamo bay prison is one of them. Nigeria needs DSS more than ever.

Internet has given fools opinion to discuss what is beyond their understanding.

You people should kindly stick to discussing romance and leave security to people who have the balls to handle security. This is how police were destabilized and thieves steal in broad daylight now in my town

Prior to the EndSars carnage the Intel later revealed was an attempt to violently overthrow the democratically elected government and end our democracy , I would have perhaps taken lightly the usefulness of the information shared here.

I still cringe and just can't wrap my head around how a protest that government had conceded the demands ended up in the hands of IPOB hiding behind it to burn down my Lagos city and release of criminals in most states prisons shocked

It was just by the Grace of God and the patriotic effort of the security forces that stopped the attempt to completely burn down Ikoyi prison by IPOB and free up even hardened criminals to unleash terror on Lagos like it is now doing in the formerly peaceful SE.
Like LASG declared the attack on Lagos as "coordinated arson " , the burning of Ikoyi prison was a violent attempt by IPOB to free inmates of Ikoyi prison .

Little did we know that vicious state actors were sponsoring IPOB terrorists to struggle for power in 2023 at the expense of the lives of innocent and patriotic Nigerians.

While we were thinking it was a legitimate protest, little did we know that the IPOB terrorists leader had been instructing his followers to go infilterate the protesters and burn down Lagos with specific places he mentioned that eventually got burnt as we later found out in a viral audio of the IPOB terrorists leader.

If you can't cite one example of when and where CIA did such an armature job DSS did that is below standards of any undercover operation globally, pls stay quiet. Even the international communities that saw how the videos call it simply barbaric. CIA that you mentioned is a thousand years more civilized and calculated than that.

That you know how the vigilante on your street operate doesn't mean you know anything about security. Vigilantes would have done a better job than dragging corpses of innocent people, leaving blood trails all over the place.

And pls first call yourself a fool before calling others one. Bye.
